Which would you pick, can't say we are really excited about either. I would rather go to Starring Rolls but we have some in our party who cannot find anything on the menu that they like. Thanks for your help.

Since both are CS, couldn't those of your party who want Starring Rolls carry food out from there, and eat it at Backlot Express with the persons who prefer that?

Depends partially on whether you want CS or TS... I wasn't particularly impressed with Backlot Express or the menu selections. We tend to enjoy 50s Prime-Time, especially if you play along with your CM.

We like 50's Prime Time the best at DHS. The food was good, the service was good and the portions are large enough to share.

It depends on whether you want a TS or a CS. I actually like the Backlot Express, even though a lot of people talk it down. I appreciate the free refills on a hot summer day and the condiments bar. It also is a little secluded and can make for a quick break at DHS, without having to spend a TS credit or the time associated with TS restaurant. However the food is better at 50's.

I would personally pick Backlot. If you're on the dining plan I personally wouldn't waste a TS on Mama Melrose's. Plus, the turkey sandwich at Backlot is actually REALLY good, ESPECIALLY the black bean salad! I'm so glad they didn't fulfill my request to substitute for fries...I think the salad was my favorite part of the meal!

We have been once for dinner and everything was average at best, certainly nothing complaint worthy but really just another meal so that is why we are considering CS.

If we do 50's PT as I have not been for lunch how long do you think we should allow if we had an 11:15ADR. Thanks.

We also like Backlot Express. We had the vegetarian sandwich and we also enjoyed the self serve drink station.

:)

I agaree, it depends on whether you want CS or TS. I find Backlot Express to be acceptible for CS at DHS. If we were doing CS it would either be Starring Rolls or there.
We like 50's PTC for lunch. It would be our choice at DHS and then we do a CS in the evening. We enjoy the food, the astmosphere and the fun. I think we have averaged about 90 minutes there.
Have a Great Trip
