OK, so I know I wont get round to a trip report, so just a basic rundown from me I'm afraid!

I've read a few posts from the last couple of days and it seems some people had not such a good time, which is a shame as we really enjoyed it....

We went on Sunday and arrived back home 11pm last night. It was our first ever trip to DLP and we all absolutely loved it.

Travelled on Eurostar from Ashford, which was totally easy and relaxed. Arrived DLP at 12.30. Checked into DLH and headed to parks to get our bearings - it was very busy being a Sunday, but all OK.

Monday & Tuesday great - nice and quiet and minimal queues. Tuesday was cold and foggy, but we just made sure we went somewhere to warm up every so often.

Good Points:

Getting lots of photos and Autographs
Our meal at Inventions - this was amazing.

My DDs (5) face on ToT - we were all screaming in photo, but DD was 'normal face' - but didn't speak for a good 15 mins afterwards!

Bad Bits:

Not really anything!
Abit disappointed with Cafe Mickey - felt it was rushed and we had to send one meal back as the fish was luke warm and not hot.

All-in-all, it was a wonderful first trip for us, and I would go back in a flash.

I *think* most of us complaining about crowds were there over a weekend. Looks like midweek over xmas is a better time.

Glad you had a great time.

The main gripe from me was the crowd levels on Saturday, CM behaviour and the bahaviour of certain people whilst at DLRP. We had a very good time, it just wasn't quite as good as when we went in October.

OK, as promised, abit more info from our 3 day trip.

This was a surprise trip for our 2 DDs, they didn't know we were going until we reached Ashford, so there were not many pre-conceptions of what it would be like as we couldn't talk about it much at home. When we did talk, it was in code!

When we checked in at the DLH, it was all abit manic - lots of people checking in etc. The Hotel inside looked great, although we couldn't get our room key until 3pm.

When we did get the key, we weren't disappointed. Nice clean, spacious room. Nice bathroom. All good.

Throughout our stay, there always seemed to be someone at the DLH painting various bits of skirting, stair rails, inside lifts etc. All very discretely, but keeping the standard of decor in order.

Turn down service with a choc coin on pillow was nice. We even caught them putting the chocs out one evening, so the lady gave my DDs 4 choc coins each...they liked that!

Foodwise, we ate at Plaza Gardens the first night. Didn't really think much of this. It was very quiet. All the staff seemed to be standing around chatting and I didn't think the food was great - not much choice for the girls. Maybe I was just expecting too much for my first meal in DLP.

Next evening we ate in Inventions. This was by far the best place we ate at. We had pre-purchased Half Board Premium vouchers, but our waiter said that there was a promo on and that kids ate free with every paying adult. So for 2 x Adult Buffets (starter buffet, main buffet, dessert buffet and cheese board), 2 x Kids Buffets (same as), 2 x Lagers, 1 x coke, 1 x water and 2 x Sptites, the guy only took 2 x Adult HBPremium and 1 x child HBPremium voucher, and handed 1 x child's voucher back! We couldn't believe it. The most fabulous food which we were expecting to pay 4 x vouchers plus about 60 euros ontop, and we only had to use 3 x vouchers total. If you haven't eaten here, you must! Character interaction was also excellent here.

Cafe Mickey as I have already said, was also not great due to having to return a plate of food and feeling very rushed.

Parks - We spent most of our time in the main park. Loved the 'snow', loved the Character Express, loved the Dragon under the castle, all the little details, seeing the characters, BTM, Peter Pan, IASW....

Studios we thought were abit limited. Went on ToT and Carpets. Crush was closed when we went to go on it yesterday.

We got loads done in EMH and had breakfast at the Hotel after EMH. This warmed us back up and re-fuelled us ready for more.

Overall, we really loved everything about it - although as it was our first trip, we didn't have anything to compare it to - apart from Chessington!

isnt the eurostar fab! so stressfree ,would definitely like to go on the eurostar to DLRP again!
