Hi there.

There isn't really a "point" to this thread, so to speak-- just reintroducing myself. I was very active on here maybe 10 years ago when I was still in school. Don't know how to see when my last post was. Nice to see the same kind of Disney nuts are still around. We're not extinct :)

I was at a festival over the weekend, and ended up talking to a couple friends about WDW for over an hour. They had just returned from Food & Wine at Epcot and were telling me all the details. It's been OVER TWO YEARS since I've been down and I'm majorly getting an itch. But with work and a newborn at home who knows when I'll get back down again. My wife says a month-old baby is too young. I said "who said anything about taking the kid?!"

So that conversation led me to check back in here. Good micro-break entertainment while I'm at the office.

:wave2:

p.s. Story from my last trip:
I saw there was a <very> recent thread about mistakes you won't make again.
On my last trip, with a friend of mine, we did 3 park days. MGM, then Epcot, then MK. After the first night, we went offsite to Miller's Ale House (where all the CMs go after work from what I've heard) for some food and drink. We ordered nachos. I ate almost ALL the nachos... and I think that "nucleus" part-- the middle bit where all the cheese and toppings stick together-- somehow went down without enough attention and got lodged in my guts somewhere. So overnight and the entire next day I felt like I had a baseball-sized blockage making its way through my intestines. Couldn't eat or drink anything.
The reason I mentioned our park schedule/order is that day 2 was Epcot, and we had planned to "drink around the world." My buddy felt too silly doing it by himself, and I couldn't drink more than a few sips of anything without an uncomfortable sloshing sound coming from my midsection. So that was a bummer of a day. Avoid the MAH nachos!
Back to normal by MK day though. By the third day my friend noticed we had been all over the park in very well-planned routes, and we had not used a guide map once the entire trip. He called me a weirdo. I felt proud.

Welcome back!:flower3: Yes, CM's did hang out at the Alehouse when I worked there & I'm sure they still do now. :) You made me laugh about the

"who said anything about taking the kid?!" :rotfl:

What I said was "who said anything about the kid?!"
What I was thinking was more like "I can go by myself!"

I looked at my "last post," looks like I actually popped in here in 2007 for a quick question or two, but otherwise it has indeed been a long time!
