Looking at booking a back to back on the Wish in February 2024. Has the process gone back to pre-covid, where if you have the same cabin for both legs, you don't have to pack, just leave the ship for a bit and re-board?

Currently (we sailed Dec 9-16 B2B on the Wish), there is no need to pack and has gone back in most aspects to pre-Covid. We exited the ship as late as allowed, completely left the building, and then went through Security again before new cruisers. We spent probably about 30-45 minutes off the ship going through security and waiting in the terminal for clearance to re-board and just took our port arrival form and IDs. We were given the detailed instructions the day before - left in the stateroom. It was really easy and I hope we never have to return to testing prior to re-boarding on a B2B. We were a party of 2 adults, BTW.

Thank you so much! We were hoping that was the case. We really want to cruise on the Wish, but don't want to go for less than 7 nights.

Glad it’s better. We did a b2b Oct/Nov and did GT rooms. I knew I had to pack and our room host got the bags to the next room. However, once we got off the ship after 9:30am, we all had to sit in the waiting area in the terminal for over 2 hours. We didn’t get back onboard until noon. We got on right before boarding began. This was on the Fantasy at port canaveral. No testing between cruises. No one would tell us why we had to wait so long to get onboard.

If the turn around day is in a US port, the group has to leave the ship. And, if there aren't a lot of B2B people , you are just directed to be off the ship by XX time.
Learn something new everyday. We did ours in PR and everybody was given the option to stay or go ashore.

Well just booked for February 2024! So excited to see the newest ship and just get back on one of the ships after waaaaay to long off!

This must have been before 2009. We always had to Leave the ship

Our first B2Bs were 2008 and even then we had to get off...briefly but we had to walk through and around again, then wait a short amount of time.

Same here, 2009 it was briefly getting off, others a bit longer wait
If the turn around day is a US port, the ship has to be cleared (empty) of all passengers between sailings.

If the turn around is a non-US port, often you will remain onboard and just re-check in onboard.

Our B2B for our Med/TA B2B (turn around in Barcelona), there were lots of us (I think around 300). So, we were directed to meet in the WDT (I think) and we were escorted off the ship to check in in the terminal since the onboard facility would have taken too long and in the terminal they were set up to handle many check ins at at time. Once we were all checked in again, we were permitted to board. This was all done before they opened the terminal to new guests. We were off the ship about 20-30 minutes.

Our Fantasy B2B (turn around in Port Canaveral), we were directed to be off the ship by 9 (maybe 9:30) check in (before new guests) and were boarded before Concierge for the second cruise.

My mom and I will also be doing B2B on the Wish in February 2024! We're going to do the 4-night Feb 19th-23rd and the 3-night Feb 23rd-26th.

For those who did a Wish b2b what were you able to do when you got back on? Any food?(Because let’s face it, after the first 4 days my body will be used to eating every 32.7 minutes!)
In May the coffee bar in Marceline Market had pastries and complimentary coffee/espresso/teas for the B2B cruisers on the turn around.
