Hi Everyone!
This site has been so helpful to me over the years but I have not asked a question before!

We will be doing back to back 3/4 day cruises in August. My understanding, from reading on here, was that we would be able to leave our bags on board in between. We are not going to be in the same stateroom but I thought they could be moved for us. I just called the cruise line and was told that this is not true - that we will have to disembark with all of our stuff. Is that accurate? It is a bit of a pain for us to do that because we are planning to go over to Kennedy Space Center for awhile before getting back on board and were hoping not to have to haul everything back and forth from our car.

Thanks!

Yes, if you are changing staterooms, you'll pack up your bags, but your room hosts will see to getting to your next room, while you are off ship for rechecking in.

If you leave the terminal, you will be required to wait and enter the terminal and board with the new cruisers for the second cruise.

Ok good. I don't mind packing up but the person on the phone told us we would actually have to take everything with us when we disembark since we were changing rooms. Thanks!

Sadly, I'm not surprised the person on the phone didn't have the right answer. Many of them have never even been on a Disney ship, much less a B2B. You'll find, if you call and ask 3 different CMs the same question, you might get as many as 4 different answers (that's because one of them may answer and then check with their supervisor, getting a different answer).

I did this exact thing in February. We packed our bags the night before/morning of and left them in our stateroom. Our room host took care of moving them to the next room for us. We had already spoken with our new room host (we only moved 2 doors down) and he knew we were back to back, so he cleaned our room first. This allowed us to unpack quickly and enjoy the empty ship. You should receive a letter the last night explaining the process of disembarking and reboarding. It sometimes can change.

Cove Cafe offers free beverages to Back to back cruisers until like 11am, since it is the only food place open. You'll likely run into some of the senior ship officers up there having a 'working break'. Interesting to learn how they do things on turn around day!

Thank you so much. Very good information! It would be neat to run into the officers there.

As others have said, you can leave your things on board. Pack everything up and your hosts with move your luggage to your new room. Make sure you pack a day bag with everything you might need, including identification/passport and cruise papers. You will need them to enter the port and check into the second cruise.
