Anybody experience back pain every now and then from bending the wrong way?
For the last 3 yrs, about twice a year it happens, I bend the wrong way, and get low back pain. I have a VERY low threshold of pain to begin with. I remember once, bending down to pick up some towels off the bathroom floor OUCH...something simple I do a lot, but this one time it hurt very bad. Once I bent down to put something on the bottom of fridge, and hurt it, once I bent down to move a heavy box..heard a snap sorta of sound. Now, these things only happen twice ayear it seems. I get all lightheaded, feeling like I am going to throw up, cold sweats when it first happens. Then that goes away and my lower back is sore..I take Motrin every 4 hrs and make sure I move a bit later on. Ive read that to get up and walk a bit every hour, not to get stiff. Normally I am sore for about 1-2 weeks, each day its better. I do Motrin every 6 hrs and take it easy. After 2 weeks I feel back to normal.
Today I come home from taking my youngest to preschool. I walk in the house and see that one of the dogs chewed one of my kids books
So I proceed to bend down and pick it up, and I felt that familiar "OUCH"...UGH...Now I am all alone, besides having the 4 dogs here. I sit down, I begin to sweat, my ears are ringing, feeling like I am going to lose it any minute..I call my husband at work..He of course worries says "Im coming home".., I get myself a wet washcloth, sit on the sofa until that phase passes.I take 2 motrin and just veg for awhile. By the time he gets home, all that other stuff passes, but I am still sore..hurts to bend certain ways. I know this will pass in a week or two.. Ive read so much about lower back pain etc..
I just don't know what a dr would do, except maybe give me a muscle relaxer. I dont have daily back pain, it only happens if I bend the wrong way and dont bend my knees.
Anybody ever experience something like this?Something that is not reoccuring everyday, just maybe twice ayear?
