Here's what you do Tim - the first time you are ever asked to help with the above tasks you burn her best dress with the iron and put the washing on too high a setting so that everything shrinks. Amazingly, you will never be asked to help out again!

Don't be silly, Kev! Such ineptitude would just mean you just have to endure a series of Masterclasses on the chores/appliances in question, culminating in a practical exam of which failure is not an option. It's a structured learning programme which has enjoyed a high success rate in Taylor Towers - all three of my menfolk graduated with distinction...
