Back lot or Back stage special tours?

I tried searching for previous discussions on this but the search said it was disabled.

My son will be celebrating his birthday this year in WDW and I wanted to purchase one of the special tours that they have available. I have not been able to find anything out about them, their cost, times, if you have to reserve them. He is a theater major and I just know he would like the Mk behined the scenes or something with MGM. I'm not sure if Epcot has something or not.
