Back in uk for 2 hours and booked 2014

Hi all
Arrived back from my 5th trip at 7am and as soon as got in the house i was on the Thomson website and booked foe Aug 2014.

Alamos the same details as this year:

Flying out from Birmingham to Sanford on the Dreamliner and staying at the pop century resort for 14 nights,

this trip was spot-on with the magic bands as a helping hand

we loved the fast pass+ system as we was able to book 3 passes for the next day and still use the old fast pass service. (going to need it next year as will be very busy).


Thomson was very good with everything again BUT i was a bit upset that they took the inflight system down to force show us a hour long promo vid (this i felt was bad when people in upper class and others had paid more to be able to watch what they wanted IE more channels. if any thing i still say they should have a tv channel that every one can watch if they want to that includes the Walt Disney World planning DVD any other vids of surrounding parks.

Still overheard people say that its expensive to eat/drink in the parks but i was san on the flight home and compared the price and it was working out cheeper the eat and drink in Disney parks then say a UK park.

TASTE TIP:: pop to china in epoch and order a strawberry smoothy. it was my drink of this trip and for value food try Picabu at the swan and dolphin resort just watch out you dont over order as the food comes out like a mountain and is so gooooood you will over eat.

The old fast pass machines are going though so next time you will only get the fast pass +. Glad to hear you like it can't wait to use it.

We flew home with Thomson in their premier class and if that tv entertainment was an upgrade from the standard I hate to think what you had. The entertainment was awful and I am so grateful for the iPad.

we was in premier class but was still forced to watch the prmo for an hour. always gone with premier class but have to say the in flight screens was not as good as in the past but the inflight did say the selection for the new 787 and looked ok.

hoping they go back to how they was in the past as loved the past flights.

cabin staff was spot on again this year tho.

The new cards (key to the world card) have rfid built into them. seen a lot of the people getting them and cast members helping the set-up the app and any cast member near the pass+ screens are trained and very helpful.

I did see a handfull of people with the old paper tickets and dont know how they get on with it :/

(some of the staff need training on the point of sale tho as A you dont need to bush the band down hard on the reader just hold it still a second and B) you are allowed to pic the reader up and place it over the band (stops you twisting your arm and works better)

We did Thomson Dreamliner PE and we liked the entertainment. My only niggle was kids could access adult movies. Don't know how they would get round this though. SO happy for you that you managed to find a good deal with Thomson Enjoy!

I just landed back from Cancun on the Dreamliner and the entertainment was as good as the Virgin A330 service that we had last year. Not sure why they made you sit through an hour video, how odd!

That's made me jealous! I've been back 8 days and this is my first time back on the dis, and that's just to reply to a message! Talk about feeling sorry for myself!!

I hope we can go back soon too, maybe next year, if not the year after. It's tempting to just think, live for today, don't worry about the money. But I do! Need to think about doing up the house, and decorating and stuff. Boring, but trying to be sensible. I know what I'd rather be doing though...

Just be warned by next summer it's most likely MyMagic+ will be out of testing for onsite guests and at that point you will have to choose between FP+ and FP - you won't be able to use both systems.

Personally, based on what I have been reading, I don't think legacy FP is even going to exist by then.

Oh sorry I miss read it that you weren't in premier. We were meant to have les miserables on our flight home. I really wanted to watch it but it wasn't on there I didn't see the promo video as I was playing with DD but DH said it was long and pretty pointless. We well I am organised and buy everything before we go. Probably hyped a few children up for the flight though ha ha.
