hi everyone
just got back from our 1st trip to dlp in 5 years. We have been going to florida instead. We booked the half board package and I am so glad we did as eating out there is expensive. We ate at walts which has a great location right on main street and very quiet but you have a very limited menu on the half board option starters tomato salad or ceaser salad mains chicken or veg pasta. Booking wasnt a problem we mainly got the hotel to do it in the morning. Next we booked Plaza gardens which was a buffet restaurant and was lovely, lots of choice. I would reccommend going in and having a look at the food. Next we ate at the hotel new york which was also a buffet restaurant, I think these are great options after a long day. Finally we went to the steak house in the village which was also really good.

Weather wise on the monday it was cold and poured with rain but the other days were bright and sunny if a bit on the cold side.

I have to say that I think dlp is great for small children I would advise anyone going soon to take crisps, snacks bottles of water, coke etc with you. For us we would not go again I would rather save and go to Florida especially with the euro exchange rate at the moment. We stayed at the hotel new york fab breakfast great swimming pool and location only down side was there was no kettle in the room we had to pay 8 euros for one which suprised me as I assumed there would be one in the room. If anyone has any questions please ask. One thing that may be of interest to people if you have someone with learning difficulties/ handicaps they get reduced rate about 5 e off plus a carer goes in free of charge you have to buy these at the parks which would have been great for us as our son has downs.

Sorry to hear you are not so taken with DLRP. I guess we're all lucky there are so many Parks around the world to choose from. Everybody finds at least one they like. :goodvibes
