..........And what glorious weather there is!! We might have well of stayed here
.
We had a great 3 weeks. The first week we visited friends and relatives from where we used to live and then we went to St. Lucia for a week and then had a connecting flight from LGW to Faro in Portugal for a week visiting family who live in Quinta Do Lago.
3 weeks of no work
- But now Monday is closely round the corner
St. Lucia was lovely and we would definitely love to go again. The weather was a bit of a shame on a few days - it was a bit cloudy and there was a bit of rain, but at least the temperatures were up high.
We didn't really do as much as we had planned, just lazed around on the beach and by the pool and did a bit of snorkelling. The resort (Windjammer Landing) was fantastic.
Castries was nice for a day out - the market was good and we also visited Pigeon Island which was a glorious 40 acre island connected by a causeway to St. Lucia.
We also did the one-day around the island jeep safari (as recommended by Annie) which is when we saw The Pitons and a bit of the wonderful St. Lucia rainforest and springs.
Just picked the dogs up from next door and dropped off DS at Tennis Club - then there's the unpacking - then we can enjoy the sunshine!
Richard.
