How far away is Kennedy Space Center? WE are working on going there in July?

Hi mouseclick, my hubby grew up in Southfied (graduated from Southfield Christain School.) His parents still live (half the year) there. (the other have they are snow birds in FLA!) The weather should be great tmw, but hubby says we picked a good week to go down to FLA because it is going to get cold here again next week.

Just a few days to go now, I am so looking forward to it. Now to get packed. Did I forget anything?

I haven't gone there yet myself from Vero but it's roughly 45-50 miles so figure about an hour away.

VB, as a stand alone resort is simply excellent. Despite the fact that there is no WDW there to entertain us, every trip gives you exactly what you want in a beach resort-sun, relaxation, surf, chlorine in your hair and the wonderful sound of the ocean as you go to sleep every night. VB Rules!

How far away is Kennedy Space Center?

We plan to make the trip to KSC from Vero Beach during our stay there this June, so I have looked into this a bit. According to the mapping program for my GPS, it is about 80 miles if you cut over to I-95, or you can knock it down to about 65 or so by taking the scenic route up A1A. Either way, I would expect it to take between an hour and an hour-and-a-half.

If you haven't already, be sure to check out the Kennedy Space Center web page. There's plenty of info there about hours, the various tours offered, etc. I ordered my tour tickets through their web site a couple of months ago just to have one more thing taken care of (and paid for!) before the trip gets here.
