We were a party of four on the DDP eating all meals with my DS and DN who were not on the plan. We ate at Kona, Ohana, Biergarten and Le Cellier. Only at Ohana did they add a 18 percent gratuity based on a table of six. Others just gave us two tickets. When checking in at all of the restaraunts they asked if we were on the plan. They said to tell the waitstaff upfront about our table.
My sister sent all her bills to the room and we sent our tips to the room as well. I know at times when we order things OPP that we ended up with five seperate receipts. Very confusing the ticktets did have 18 and 20 % suggestions, we went with 20% since that is our normal tip. The waitstaff all mentioned that the changes were uncomfortable but none of them didn't ask if we knew how the tip worked. Oddly when were were counted as party of six at Ohana the waiter added the 18% tip to the bill but we would have chosen to do 20. Didn't leave any extra though, didn't have cash. Having the right amount of cash was a hassle.
There is still plenty of food on the DDP, just stinks if you would rather have the appy instead. We are going again June and not using the DDP (upgraded our tix) and I am sweating the cost of the food without DDP. Looking forward to other options than just the kids meals.

We returned last week from a week's stay and it was our first time using the DDP. There were three of us, all adults. I think because we have never used the plan before it wasn't that difficult for us. All in all, our family enjoyed the plan and it was sort of fun to keep track of how many of what credits we had left. I had read about other folks that didn't use up their credits but it wasn't a big hassle for us.
I agree that the multiple bills and receipts are confusing but after the first couple of times it was not much of an issue. Most of the wait staff would look at our room card to determine which plan we were on. By the end of our stay I think they had it figured out.
Would we use it again and did we get our "money's worth"? Don't know for sure on either question. I would lean toward getting it again cause it was pretty neat not to have to worry about what things cost on the menu, especially at lunch time but I think it would depend more on the nature and length of the visit than the price. I'm also not going to figure out if we made out. I feel we did OK and we had fun with it so that's all that matters to me.

Thanks for giving us your opion.
