and loved it!!!
This was our first trip with our kids to Disney and our first stay at a Disney resort!
It was perfect! We arrived the day after Hurricane Charley. We called the Poly from NY the day we were leaving and they reported that all was A OK except for a few downed trees. They did close Animal Kingdom for the day.
Our flight was delayed a hour so we didn't arrive at the Poly until 6:00PM. As requested we got a ground floor room with a fridge. I was pleased with the patio and allowing the kids to go and play on the grass outside made the room feel bigger. The room was clean and everything was workable but I found it to be average. For $299 per night I guess I expected a little luxury but I guess the luxury is that you are staying on Disney property.
We attended a Character breakfast at the Ohana our first morning that was fantastic. The characters immediately came over to our table and our three kids were overjoyed!
The food was good and the atmosphere was great!
The accessability to the monorail and Magic Kingdom was awsome!
Then kids loved the Volcano pool and the slide! We always found chairs at the pool and enjoyed watching the fireworks from the pool and the beach. The staff at the Poly organized fun games in the pool such as basket ball and volleyball which my oldest son enjoyed.
Everyone there including the guests were fun and pleasant. Although next time I would like to try the GF or the Contemporary it's going to be hard to top the Poly.
