Hello-:yay: we were in DLP last week and had a great time. weather was really nice too apart from the occasion shower on Wednesday which helped!
Im not normally one for moaning about Money but this trip (and its our 4th ) we really noticed the price of eating out-maybe just because of the way the Euro is.

We stayed at hny this time-we normally stay at sequoia-liked New york rooms bigger and can get room service which is great when you have kids.
They also liked the childrens entertainment in the evening.
Our room was ready at 11 am however absolutely stunk of smoke -reception said it would be fine with a spray but my husband persisted as we have the little ones and we got moved to a much nicer smelling room which was brighter too.

Kids had a ball at the parks-DD is now 16 months and loved the characters and went mad on Small World!!!
DS is a HSM fan so wore his wildcats t shirts alot and got picked out for participating in the HSM shows which were really good.
Last year we went in July and this year the park was a lot busier. Saturday was packed and that is saying a lot as we went on Bastille day last year!
luckily as seasoned DLP ers we knew where to go for quite spots and what to avoid etc but couldnt help feel for the kids queueing in the boiling sun on Thunder mountain or Crush!
Luckily for us the fastpass queues were so busy on a couple of rides that the machines werent keeping up and cms were handing out fastpasses instead which meant we could then go and put our park tickets in another ride and then hold a couple of fast passes at once which was a big benefit to save ds queueing.
The new stuff was great too DH went on tower of terror and really loved it and stich live was very clever.
Not sure what was going on with EMHs-one morning was just us in park other mornings everyone was let in at 9 but had to show hotel passes at the rope drop points at the castle and discovery land.
Unfortunately this was also the first year that we noticed a lot of pushing going on especially in queues. There was a certain nationality that were the main offenders every time Im afraid.Maybe just a culture thing:confused3

we were also surprised at the amount we walked -According to the pedometer on my phone we walked between 12-14 miles everyday! We even hired ds (4) a buggy on the 4th day as he was so tired(which was then sadly taken by someone else when we left it to go on a ride-luckily we got a replacement but had to link the hired buggy to our babies buggy for the rest of the day)
All in all it was a brilliant trip and we all had a great time and was the first year ds was big enough for thunder mountain -thank goodness for Fastpasses, but it just wasnt quite as magical as the last couple of years due to other peoples bad manners/buggy stealing and pushing in!
we will go back again next year and hopefully we can get the full disney magic back!

Hmmmmm I wonder if this is the reason behind the sudden glut of "unlimited use" fastpasses appearing on ebay.....??

glad you enjoyed it despite of the pushy people... I'm not one of those but when they were pushing Mia and not letting her go anywhere near a character, I pushed as well... not nice I know but as you know, it hurts when someone pushes your little one...

the prices are a little higher than last summer and the exchange rate is really bad atm so no wonder you're complaining... I was too...;)

I am glad you had a great trip. Could you please tell me the exact dates you have been there and how bussy these days were? I assume that Saturday was the most crowded of them all?

Welcome home :wave2:
Sounds like the postives were greater than the negatives :goodvibes

Yes we were there Wed23rd for 4 nights. Thursday was probably the quietest day, Friday was the quietest EMH. Saturday was really busy we expected that but didnt think it would be as bad. You couldnt walk through the park comfortably. It was one of those days where you had to queue for drinks, toilets to get out the park etc!
We found a table and seats and had a quiet seat and snack overlooking the bridge and beach etc at adventure land and used fastpasses then headed to wdw and did stitch live and anamagique to avoid the crowds.
We still had a good time and the kids managed to get on a few of the fantasyland rides between 8 and 9 when the park was getting ready for closing.:)

I know what you mean about not noticing how far you've walked... I walked my jeans through into holes!!:scared1:

Thank you for your answer. And I am very impressed that you could head from DLRP to WDW just to see Stitch. All other DLRP quests would need at least a 7hour flight for that but you just "headed to". Great. :lmao:

Buy the way: The resort is crowded every weekend no matter if it is January or July or if it rains or if the sun is shining.
The only advice that I could give is AVOID THE WEEKENDS if possible. :)

Welcome back, I'm glad you managed to enjoy most of your trip:thumbsup2

Sounds like you had a good time otherwise! Know what you mean about the pushy people.... the worst we had was when DD & I were queueing up to get Bert & Mary Poppin's autograph!! Blimey!!!!!!!
