BACK FROM OKW!!!!

Well, we got back yesterday from a week at OKW. There are some nice improvements going on around there. They are putting down new asphalt and they put a nice "compass" in the intersection of Peninsular Rd. and Miller's Rd. Our room was clean and NO BUGS!!! Our jacuzzi had zero bugs, too! The weather was a little disappointing, though! We had only one warm swimming day. We saw where they are building the new villas at Y&B Club. Hard to believe they will be done in a year. We did not get a chance to go see WLV. Any other questions I can answer??

WDW...Been There, Done That, Going Back!

We just got back thursday eve. Stayed at OKW. Saw a few michigan plates, was one yours? It sure was cool and windy. What room did you stay in? We book only a week ago so had to move twice It was OK though, got to expeience different blds, views, etc. 1st night we were in handicap Studio #2010, sure felt roomy, nice view of the golf course, room was in pretty good shape. 2nd night we had to suffer in a 1Br, nice romantic eve with no kids, hot tub, wine, ... , room in great shape, another nice view from deck, #5421. Last 2 nights in a standard studio, #4424, right across street from the Turtle Pond bus stop, room in great shape, they were painting outside of bld while we were there. Hope you were able to enjoy your stay in spite of the weather!

PS: We did manage to take the "tour" at VWL and were rewarded with a couple of DVC pins from the CM on duty. Can't wait till October when we have ressies there

We were in a 2 br. 6210-6211. One thing we were disappointed about was that the fountain was not operating. This was the pond right at the Peninsular Road bridge. No, we did not have a car there. We did meet quite a few people from Penn. and NY. Not too many from MI. Also, we did leave bacon and butter in the freezer and left a note for the housekeeper to take it home if she wanted. I also saw a manager outside and mentioned this to him. I did not want this stuff to go to waste. He said he would also pass the word on to the housekeeper. All in all it was an ok trip. Definately wasn't our favorite!!

When I was there during Presidents week the fountains were not working either but it was made known that Disney was trying to conserve water due to the extended dry spell.. lots of the other water areas were also low .. especially noticed the World Showcase Lagoon at Epcot..

wish Iwas back there now we had another 12 inches of snow last night AHHHH!
