Back from OKW

I don't usually post trip reports, but I wanted to let everyone know that we had another wonderful stay at OKW. This is the third time we've been there since February and all of our 1 bedroom villas were fabulous. In Feb. and April, we were in Turtle Pond and for this trip I requested Southpoint.

We were in building 55, first floor (easier with the baby stroller). We received every request, even to be close to the pool. We were actually a little too close considering the rude people swimming at 12:30, 1:00 and even 3:00 AM WITH their kids were very, very loud. I ended up calling the front desk one night (well, actually morning) to ask them to have security come up and have the people quiet down. They were waking the kids up. Within 10 minutes all of the noise stopped.

Now, I know the pools close at 10 PM, and the resorts don't bother people who choose to swim a bit later, heck we have ourselves, but people, people, people, please be considerate when swimming in the wee hours of the morning. Some people are actually trying to sleep!

Anyways, that being the only issue we had, and since it wasn't OKW related, I have to throw out there again that OKW is a great resort, and we can't wait to go back.

Not this time, completely low budget vacation! We totally did not plan this trip, booked at 33 days out. Have a new baby and didn't think we'd be going this summer, but I had to take one more vacation before I go back to work in September (teaching). Baby loves to swim (he's almost 3 months) and where better to find warm enough pools and warm enough air temp than Florida in August!

Glad you had a good time. We enjoy 55 and 56 the best since we always walk to DTD and like the water view.
