We had an awesome time!!! I cant wait to cruise again! The only thing that could have been better than 2 stops at Castaway Cay would have been all 4 stops at Castaway Cay!!

We spent our first 2 nights at OKW in a studio. This was our first stay at OKW and I booked very last minute, after I got cold feet about Nick Hotel and couldnt bring myself to stay there. Ds will have to dream a little longer about that one

We liked OKW, but as I suspected, the studio would not be as functional for us on our longer stays. It was a nice size though. We definitely did not have the new mattress, ours was a Sealy Posturepedic Extra Firm and it felt like it. We didnt check in until after 1 am (Never Ever connecting in ATL AGAIN!!) but I was up early calling the front desk asking for an eggcrate for the bed. The eggcrate really helped. I am no princess and the pea, but I cant do those hard mattresses.
We were in Bldg 25, very close to the HH. Our studio was a corner studio and we had a great view of the golf course and a small piece of the waterway. We did the DDP and used our snack credits to get milk and entenmann's for breakfast, visited SSR for lunch at AP and then DTD for Dinner at WP's.
We will definitely do OKW again, but in the 1 bedrooms or larger or for a shorter stay in the studios. We liked it alot.
We did miss SSR, so we went by the Community Hall to say hello to the gang. DS (7) lost his beaded KTTW lanyard he made there last trip and I searched for it at home so he could wear it on the cruise. Well when we visited SSR, Brenda told us she found it and kept it for DS because she knew we would be back!!

SSR is coming along nicely and we cant wait to stay there again. Even the carousel bldgs are looking more appealing and quaint. Kudos again to the SSR rec staff for replacing the Ping Pong table in a timely manner also. We asked about it because it was missing before the cruise (an unfortunate accident left it in 2 pieces) and when we visited CH after the cruise they had a replacement up and ready! My Ds's love Ping Pong and OKW's were out of order too.
I tried to peek at the Grandstand section, but they had the walkway fenced off so no spy reports this time.

On the cruise, we attended the DVC meeting. They passed out ballcaps to everyone and had trivia for some neat prizes. They also told us about the $15 off per point incentive on the cruise. DVC was very much a presence on the cruise. They placed Welcome Home magnets on our stateroom doors, and left small reminders in our room and on the phone to attend the meetings for a $300 stateroom credit (which I did not win!).
I believe he said there were 110 DVC staterooms on our cruise. I did receive a Dreams book but have not had a chance to really look at it yet. "Sound good cause they free"

We had a great time and met lots of members on the cruise. We paid cash for our cruise, but many used points and were happy. It's hard to regret any means used to get on that ship. It was awesome and the food quality was markedly improved over last year. The ice cream was great! Last year I didnt like it at all, but now it is real soft serve. DCL is well worth it and they took great care of us, even in the Mexico ports!
Im happy to answer any questions.
