10 days of Disney magic and we absolutely loved it. Beautiful resort. Eight of us stayed in a two bedroom villa on the third floor of building 52 (right next to the South Pointe bus stop). The unit was huge and very clean and in good order. The bus made it's turn-around in front of our building and I thought it would be noisy, but it wasn't. We never heard a peep from any neighbors.

Check in was fast and friendly - they had us assigned to bldg 45 (I think) but I wanted one closer to a bus stop, so they switched it right away, no problem. We arrived at 11:30 am and did have to wait until just about 4pm to get our room - it would have been nice to get our room early but it's not a guarantee, so we made the best of it. We had lunch at Olivia's and then hopped on a bus to DTD. It was hot and the kids (ages 3 & 4) were tired from travelling the west coast red-eye, but we managed.

The transporation buses were excellent - the only complaint seems to be the buses to and from the water parks seem much slower (especially FROM the parks). Other than that, we never really waited more than 10 minutes for a bus. It was so nice for us to be next to the bus stop. Our family did not rent a car and managed just fine. We arrived by ME and all went very smoothly (both ways).

We spent some time at the main pool and the little one near our unit - very, very nice. We never did see housekeeping - except a basket of fresh towels placed by our door. We did have to call to get more toilet paper.

Overall, we were very impressed with OKW (we rented points); it was a wonderful resort (more like a community) and beautifully maintained.

It sounds like a wonderful vacation. Glad to read about it, sorry about the mousekeeping. You should have had a full cleaning on day 4 trash and towels on another day.

Bobbi :)

We just returned Saturday-we loved OKW-it will be hard to stay anywhere else from now on (and we're BC owners!). :)

OKW is a great resort, glad you had a great time.

So glad you enjoyed OKW. We just returned as well. Isn't WDW grand???!! :goodvibes

Without a car, did you order groceries? I would so like to stop renting a car.

I'm happy to hear your points rental went well and that you were impressed with our "Home away from Home".

I'm sooooo glad to hear about your trip. :cool1:

I'm planning a solo trip in May 07 and am hopeing to stay @ OKW...for the 1st time.
The only concern I might have.. is the safety issue, in the evening, since I'll be solo...what do all of you think?? :confused3

I'm glad you had such a great trip. We stayed at OKW last year and will be staying there again this year. I have to admit that I love how big their rooms are. That's the one huge selling point. Even though we don't own there.

And to the post about safety. I really don't think that you have anything to worry about.

Yes, we used Garden Grocer and they were wonderful.

Disney World is so much fun. I've never stayed at OKW because I need to have room service and I don't think they offer that. But it won't keep me from trying it out for a short trip sometime soon. Glad to hear you liked it so much.
