Good Morning WISHers!! I wanted to post to fill you in on our recent trip to WDW!! We went down 'cuz DH had a convention, so all our expenses were getting me down there! We left the kids at home and spent 6 days at WDW!! (not including the time DH spent at convention-those times I spent at the pool!) In my post, is a picture taken of us when we got to the MK on Sunday 6/14. I just love this shot of us!! (BTW: that's me down 55 pounds, and DH down 30!-On Atkins!!)
We had a wonderful time, and eating low carb was relatively simple. I have to admit, Disney's burgers are kinda dry without the bun. I think a table service restaurant gives you a better burger no bun, though!
Our last night we were at Epcot, walked to the Boardwalk and ate at some brewery place (argh! I forgot the name!) He had a MONSTER cheeseburger (also no bun) and I had the Chicken alfredo pasta primavera, no pasta. YUM! We then headed over to Epcot, and splurged on desert. Mind you, it has been a year since starting atkins, and this was our FIRST fully-leaded desert! He went for the apple pie ala mode in America and I trotted to the funnel cake stand for a funnel cake with cherries on top. I have to say, it was not that good. The cake seemed to be old, kinda crunchy in places, and the cherries were too heavy. DH loved his pie, though! We decided when we go in Oct, we will splurge at Rainforest Cafe for a VOLCANO!!!
All in all, we had a great time, I can't believe how much better I get around in the heat & humidity without the extra 55 pounds on me. My mood and endurance was wonderful!!
Bad news though: I gained 6 pounds. Not bad, I've lost 3 already...they were worth it!!
