Back from MAGICAL time at ASMo and WL!!!!

Hi!! We were at ASMo and WL last week.... We had an AWESOME time, filled with lots of pixie dust. We got the most amazing baskets from Feralpeg (thanks, Peggy!!!) and the kids were just in awe! It was hot , but not unbearable, and we really didn't find it to be terribly crowded. We got upgraded at WL from a standard room to Concierge, with a view of the MK...it was amazing!!!!!!! We did early mornings at the park, and for the most part, were always out of the park by around lunch time. A few days, we went back to a park in the evening. We had the dining plan while we were at ASMo, and that was great (but I'll post that on the restaurant board). We all had a wonderful time, and for anyone who is worried about the heat and crowds right now...don't be...you can still have a magical time!!!!!!!! Any questions?

How was the transportation from WL? Was the pool crowded? Did you ever use the "quiet pool"?

That's wonderful! Glad you had a magical time! You sure got springkled with some ~*Pixe Dust*~ at WL! WOW! Lucky you! WL is magnificent! We love WL! This is the only way to go camping! LOL!

Can you tell me if the swamp trail at WL is still open? I'd hoped to walk it (for the first time) when we visit next year, but had heard that they might have closed it.

We stayed at ASMo for 3 nights and WL for 2 nights. We had a great time at both of them!

We thought that the transportation from WL was fine...the only ride that was a bit long was to DTD. We used the busses the whole time--did not use the boat to the MK at all. We did not have to wait long at all, and if we did have to wait, we just used the time to get our sunscreen on!

The pool was not bad at all....we did not use the quiet one though.

Hope you get the MK view!! Have you stayed at WL before?

we were in a 2nd floor room in the Toy Story section....I've never been there before, so I can't compare, but I don't think it was new...

Thanks for remembering about our trip we took last week! We had a wonderful time! I posted a report here and it's probably 3 pages behind now. I posted a few pixs. We enjoyed our stay at POFQ a lot. I will bump the thread for you so you can see the pixs.

Again, I'm glad you had a wonderful time. BTW... how was WL concierge? Do you think it's worth to pay more $$ to stay there? How was the room? Thanks!

Did you make any room requests at WL? I was just wondering because we have decided to go to WL in January! YEAH We are getting a standard room and I can't think of anything I would want to request......but it occured to me a person may be more likely to get an upgrade if no room requests were made. It really doesn't matter....I won't be upset if there isn't an upgrade....but I would be really happy if there was!

no room requests other than non-smoking. I wasn't expecting it, and we didn't get one last time (2003), so this was a big surprise! Glad you are getting to go in Jan...we can't go til 2007. Waah!!!

WL concierge was great...it was the first time we EVER had something like that, so of course, it was all like a dream! It was great to have, but for us, we won't be spending that much of our OWN money for it...but if they'd like to upgrade us again, we won't say no.
The "perks" certainly were nice though... the room was nice...towel animals every day, the turn-down service was nice, the lounge was great and well-stocked. We already had all of our PS's etc, so we didn't need any other type of services from the CM's. They were very nice and friendly though.

Momof2...your report on WL is so happy! I have to say I love reading reports when people just loved their trip and being in WDW!
We have never stayed at the WL. I have only been to WDW 2 times in my life (once 10 years ago and then once 6 years ago and both times we stayed at Dixie Landings). Thanks again for your answers to all the questions.

Did you take the bus to MK because it was quicker? I'm not sure if we should take the boat or take a bus to MK, what is your opinion?

honestly, it was to be in air conditioning as long as possible.
We also were having good luck with the busses, and with my kids, when we find a good thing, no need to mess with it!
