We arrived at the resort about 10:30am, our room was not ready, but I really didn't expect it to be, I was offered a Handicapped room but we passed. At 12:30 the front desk called, our room was ready.

The room was fairly clean, a little run down, the carpet really needs replacing. The pullout sofa wouldn't pull out at first, it took MANY tries and my DH finally got it out. But hey, at least we got our work out in ;)

We went out to the pool and the kids went swimming, they LOVED the slide. We met scootersmom, her DH and DS. (Scootersmom if you are reading this, my daughter wanted to thank your husband for the use of his boogie board at the beach. )

Campfire was great, but the BEST event was B'lou Crab's magic show, my daughter was one of his assistants and had a blast. The show was so funny and entertaining...very disney. We fell in love with B'lou, he makes that resort wonderful.

We went crabbing, fishings, swimming (pool and beach) and really had a nice time.

My only true complaints were the amount of teenagers running around unsupervised. Some of them were not very well behaved. I was shocked, I kept wondering where their parents were. One group of boys literally ran my 3 year old son over coming down the stairs and not one turned around to check on him, they just kept walking. I had to catch my husband before he started something, he was that mad. We were out crabbing at the pier and two teen girls came out and made a phone call, and the things they were loudly talking about were not suitable for my 3 and 6 year olds ears. For that matter they made me blush, and by no means would I consider myself a prude.

We would go back to HH in a heartbeat, just probably not during the summer months.

Sounds like a good time. Makes me want to go now. Thanks for the report.

I'm glad you enjoyed the resort. It was great meeting you and your family.

We're in total agreement about B'lou Crabbe. He's so much fun! We went to the magic in the den show one afternoon, but missed the Saturday night one because we checked out that day. :sad1:

Your daughter is more than welcome for the use of the boogie board. She looked like she was having a blast with it!

I'm so sorry about the incidents with the teens. We've, thankfully, never had that happen there.

If you're looking for another time of year to go, we've been in mid-October and it was very nice. Weather was warm enough to swim, I'd say mid-70's. It was a little chilly in the evenings. Ocean water temp was still pretty warm and the beach wasn't crowded at all.

Thanks colleen,

We think we might go back in October. We just had a few incidents and they did not ruin our trip, we had a beautiful time with our family and all the lovely people we met.

I'm so sorry to hear about the teenagers' behavior. I had the exact same type of talk by teenagers at ASMusic. I call it "VERY un-Disney-like language".
