We (me, DH, DD age 10, and DD age 7) were there on Friday (03/17) and Saturday (03/18). Here are some quick comments on where we stayed and where we ate.
Hotel: We stayed at the Doubletree Anaheim on City Dr. It was far from DL, definitely not walkable. The hotel has a complimentary shuttle, but we didn't use it as we had a rental car. It is an older hotel that had been renovated, not recently but within the past 2 or 3 years. It's across the street from a Starbucks and a Wendy's, and next to the Block at Orange. We had a standard room that overlooked the I-5. Only slight annoyance was that the bathroom was very small, and was difficult to maneuver around with more than 1 person in there. However, we really shouldn't complain. We only paid $52/night on a Priceline bid. Parking was extra; how much exactly I forgot but it was greater than $10, less than $16. We also got a complimentary breakfast one morning because the hotel felt bad that they gave us an unsolicited wake-up call at 6am the previous morning, resulting in us going back to sleep and waking up hours later and missing our only EE morning. We didn't expect anything or having them claim responsibility for it, so we were nicely surprised with the free breakfast buffet for all 4 of us. Nice service and clean rooms. We'd stay there again.
Club Buzz Terrace: We ate here on Friday for breakfast. DD7 and I enjoyed the French toast sticks, very yummy. DH had the yogourt parfait with blueberries, which he seemed to enjoy. DD10 had the croissant breakfast sandwich which was so-so.
Whitewater Snacks: We had a nice lunch here. Knowing that their portions are huge, DH and I split a beef dip. DD7 had the kiddie meal cheeseburger and DD10 had the kiddie meal grilled cheese sandwich. All the meals were served with a hefty portion of fries and a couple of big strawberries.
Goofy's Kitchen: We had reservations there on the Friday night for 5:30pm. It was busy but not crazy busy as I've seen it before on previous trips. The food was decent. Some standouts were the green salad and the dressing and the walnuts on top; the potstickers; the Chinese vegetable stirfry; the fresh fruit; the bread pudding with custard. The prime rib was OK, but was a bit on the dry side. There weren't too many characters. We were very surprised that we didn't see one princess here or on any of the days we were at DL/CA. We usually see them everytime we visit so this was rather odd.
Mimi's Cafe: We decided to take everyone's advice on the DL disboards and try this place out for breakfast Saturday. You are all so right!!! We loved it. The kids had the kiddie Mickey shaped pancakes with fresh fruit on the side. I had the 2 eggs/sausage, and DH had the egg white omelet. Big portions that filled us up completely.
Pacific Wharf and Cocina Cucamonga Mexican Grill: DDs shared a cheese and broccoli bread bowl. DH and I shared a steak taco. The DDs enjoyed the bread bowl. We were so-so with the taco. This was just a quick bite to eat as we were still stuffed from lunch.
River Belle Terrace: We ate there for Saturday dinner. DD7 had the kiddie meal of a BBQ chicken drumstick/corn cob/milk. DD10, DH, and I split 2 dishes--the BBQ chicken/rib and the BBQ rib.
