Oh my it was hot!! I'll never visit the parks in August again!! lol The wife and I had a great time despite the heat. Here's what our week (july 30 - Aug 7) consisted of...

Saturday - drove to Ormond Beach, Fla and stayed the night. We went to a restaurant called Betty's A1A Cafe. It's on Ocean Blvd. This food was all made from scratch and had the freshest seafood I've ever had. The Yellowfin tuna with sweet soy glaze was incredible as was everything else.

Sunday - woke up early and went to the beach. Ormond Beach is beautiful and you can get away from the crowds and enjoy the beach practically by yourself... For lunch we went back to Betty's A1A Cafe lol. Once again it was great... Drove to Orlando to check into our hotel for the night and picked up supplies for the week.

Monday - arrived at Bonnett Creek resort and wow was this place beautiful. It's located between Typhoon Lagoon and Hollywood Studios. Our room was on the 14th floor so we could see the fireworks from MK, Epcot and Fantasmic at HS. We could also see Expidition Everest. We had dinner at House of Blues and then went to MK to enjoy the castle light show and Wishes. We also got to ride 5 rides.

Tuesday - Epcot!! We rode all the main rides except Mission Space but got a fastpass for it. Visited all the shops in the WS and finally got a Napolean from the French bakery. OMG it was so good. Had lunch at Le Cellier and I have to say I had high hope but was very disappointed. The cheddar soup was good but that was it. Took a break and went back to BC for a dip in the pool and sweat free clothes lol. Returned around 6:00 and rode Mission Space and got sick on the orange version. UGH!! Started feeling better so we ate at La Cantina. It was pretty good but very busy. Watched Illuminations and then headed home.

Wednesday - Chef Mickey's ADR at 7:05... Way too early but had a good time. Those Mickey waffles are so delicious. The food is ok but overall we enjoyed it. Went to MK and rode some rides and left. We then went to Typhoon Lagoon and had a blast. Went to Chic-Fil-A for dinner, mainly because we wanted some sweet tea. lol After freshening up at BC we returned to MK. Had the cinnamon roll from the bakery and it was awesome.

Thursday - It was a lazy day... We made it to AK around noon and that was a mistake. Hottest day of the week. We had lunch at Yak and Yeti and shared the duck, it was pretty good but the Pina Coladas were incredible lol. Rode Expidition Everest and left shortly after. Went to the Yachtsman for dinner and was blown away. Best meal I've had in years. Very pricey but worth every penny. We had the caesar salad, ny strip and the chocolate peanut dessert. Everything was wonderful and the service was phenomenal. We crawled to the car lol and went shopping at downtown Disney.

Friday - Went to HS early and it was a partly cloudy day so the heat wasn't as bad. Had a great day. Ate at 50's Prime Time and had the same waitress from our November trip with the kids. She remembered my son Drew. lol He was acting up the entire time on purpose. I showed her a pic of her and him and she couldn't believe I still had it in my phone. We then went back to BC for a nap and returned in time for our ADR at Sci Fi. The atmosphere was great and our server was very prompt. The cheeseburger wasn't on the dinner menu but he got the cooks to make us one and it was good.

Saturday & Sunday- Checked out of BC and went to Disneyquest but it wasn't open til 11:30 so we went to the AMC theater and watch Crazy Stupid Love (VERY funny). After the movie we went to DQ and it was so crowded you couldnt really do anything. So we decided to start heading back. We stopped in Ormond Beach to eat at Betty's Cafe again. lol. Once again it was great. Spent the night in Brunswick, Ga and woke up early to finish the rest of our drive to the SC.

Hope you all didn't fall asleep reading this. lol
