Back from Disney World - 1st Trip!!! Want to go back!

First of all - congrats on your trip!! You are going to have an amazing time! Please come back to tell us all about it.

I loved the Coronado Springs. Beautiful view, nicely kept grounds. The grounds are beautiful and the staff are all friendly. If it's your first trip make sure you get pins that say First Visit. The staff working in the store gave my daughter her first trading pin for free so she could start trading.

The one thing that was a problem for us was the distance of our room from the restaurants and main office. We were down in the 6A Rancho area and although I love walking and am fit, my children found it to be too long. If I was to go back to the Coronado I would pay the bit extra to get a preferred room so we are closer to the main area. Our room was close to the dig site and pool so that was a bonus. Only a couple of minutes away!

I also noticed that Quick Service and Table Service at the Coronado allows for 2 drinks instead of 1. All other restaurants I went to would only offer 1 drink with Quick Service. I thought this was a nice bonus to the Coronado. I was able to get an orange juice at lunch along with a diet pop.

I didn't make it to the Maya Grill but I was told by my mom and brother that it's delicious!

If your family likes pizza then you should make an effort to go to Downtown Disney and eat at Wolf Gang Puck Express. They are on the Disney Dining plan and you get a huge pizza with drink and to die for cheesecake and it counts as 1 counter service!

Can you tell me what you loved about this resort and or disliked? I did some pretty major research before I choose a resort and this one I fell in love with, that's not saying IF I could have saved some money and switched I wouldn't have, alas my dates of OCt 15-22 are sold out and no discounts available that's ok though I never knew what a pin even was before coming here, so I just keep pretending I'm in the dark now lol

Thanks Kimmy I have heard about the pizza at Wolf Gangs just might do that. I still have one decision to make and that is keep my ressie at O'hana's even though I KNOW my dd and myself won't like the food, I've looked at the menu and I'm so stinking picky it'll be a no go for me except maybe one thing. I realize its the atmosphere and its a must do but really I'm second guessing this one, every single day we have a meal just for dd character ones every day, I was thinking cancelling this ressie and have made one for Raglan Road the Irish Pub in downtown disney for that day instead and then because it's our resort/rest no park day, we could hang at the pool all day, then head over and walk the downtown stuff and eat there. I don't know my TA is trying to talk me out of it though and keeping O'hana's. If I did keep O'hana's I guess we could work the Wolf Gang's in sometime after Epcot which i've got planned for only half a day anyways. Here I go driving myself nuts again ha ha.
