Back from chilly AK

Hi all, just a quick update on our cruise........
weather was in 50's (cold for us) but no rain! the glaciers were wonderful, very peaceful, scenery was beautiful!
we saw a bear and cub, a bunch of eagles, deer but no moose, lots of whales spouting and tales but none "jumping".
Food was Ok, except the night we went to "Chops" for steak! the filet were so tender it cut with the fork.
Family did good, no major arguments! (which is good for us )
overall a fun trip, but glad to be home, still getting laundry done (two loads left) and a bunch to put away.

Was also Megan's last week of 2nd grade, got out on the 11th. I now have an official 3rd grader! and have to brag a bit on my girl....got all "A"s and is reading at 4th grade level. I was also voted in a co-president for the parent club, so expecting a very busy next year.

Dance recital is also this week, 2 nights down, 2 to go! will be happy when its over.

Off to DLR on Tues with friends for the week and then looking forward to a relaxing summer and planning on getting lots of scrapbooking done!

I know what you mean about the cold. I went last year and since I'm from S. Fl almost froze my backside off, we went in Sept. In fact we are going back again this Sept. I scraped over 200 pages.

I want to go to Alaska.
Don't think we will be swinging it anytime soon. Maybe I can talk DH into it for our 25th Anniversary. That gives me 13 years to work him over, I mean, persuade him it's a good idea.

everyone that i talked to that has done it, loved it! my fil said it was one of his all time favorites and they have been all over the world.
so glad you had a good time. have fun in DLR!
