We just got home a little bit ago from our trip to see Carsland after DH won the contest. I will do a trip report maybe tomorrow. But I wanted to say that BVS is beautiful!! I was so impressed with how it feels and looks. It is so much more "Disney" than the old entrance used to be. Our visit to Carsland was a little odd with all the media, but I really like Maters and the RSR. I am very glad we got to ride both of these then and not have to wait in the lines starting on Friday.
Disneyland was actually decent crowd wise Friday and Saturday..except Matterhorn. We never made it on there since the ride was always so long and I did not want to wait. LOL. We will be back in the fall, so I will check it out then. But I think they pissed the Yeti off by keeping him under wraps for so long. He was LOUD!.
We also ate at Carnation Cafe for dinner on Wed and breakfast on Friday.
Dinner was not at their best. I known they had just reopened, but we were sitting right in front of the podium and had a pager..after over 30 mins, they never paged or called us. This was after confirming our pager number to the name we were listed for (it was walk up, and not a reservation). They said they paged and called us, but we did not respond. Sadly, it is not what happened. :/ They did finally seat us. We got the fried pickles, which I liked. I was not too keen with my vegan burger though. Breakfast was amazing though!!
We had a great time. We went last night to check out Mad T Parry for a little bit. It seemed much more crowded than Electronica was, but it is in a smaller confined space. We also wanted to see Carsland at night, which was breath taking. Even if you cannot get on anything at night, just seeing the land is amazing. I can't wait to be able to ride RSR at night.
After we recover, I will write a full trip report with some pics.
The drive down was a little rough since we hit some heavy traffic. But, the drive back was not as bad. Just exhausting. Of course, we did stay in the park until close on Friday and went in at opening this morning for a couple of hours.
