Our first trip to DL is over!! We had a great time! so many things we loved. Thanks for the advise we got here our trip was so much fun. we stayed at the gch and the hotel was beautiful I cannot say enough about the service and the accomodations.
it was crowded but we went early fast passed what we could and when we were done we went back to the hotel and enjoyed the pool,
my favorite ride was POTC i loved the differences from wdw. We rode it at least 7 times, Blue Bayou was beautiful, food was okay, a little pricey for lunch the atmosphere was worth it. actually Cafe Orleans we thought food was better.
Only negative was storytellers dinner buffet YUCCK normally if I was home in ny I would have asked for my money back-but dh would not let me,
saw the pacific ocean -beautiful but living in a beach community on Long Island it was not a big thrill.
Enjoyed our time wish it was a little warmer but it was warmer then home, snowy and cold!
Thanks again for all your help-only 46 days until our trip to wdw!

We just got back from WDW, and rode Pirates.... Didn't like it as much as the one at DL!!

We did not get to see the Atlantic, that will have to wait for next year, DH wants to go back to Florida and go to NASA, Discovery Cove, Cocoa Beach and maybe Epcot!! Fine by me!!

We just got back from California too! We had a "SoCal sampler" vacation - splitting time between LA and San Diego. We made it to DL/DCA for two days. It was great to do the rockin' coasters w/ the Chilli Peppers and loved POTC. However, we felt the overall experience at WDW is better. More things to do, better and more varied restaurants in park and at hotels.

The crowds made us appreicate going off-season to WDW when you can pretty much walk on to any ride. Overall, though a great time was had by all.
