Back from BWI

We stayed three nights at the BWI, room 1334. It was on ground level and faced the quiet pool. At first, we were a little disappointed, but after walking around the resort, we saw that there were quite a few rooms that would have been worse. Also, there was a big grassy area between us and the pool, so DH and boys went out there several times to toss a football. That was fun for them. They also scurried out for a quick dip in the hot tub!

Were you there during the water pipe fiasco? We heard that last Thursday a 6 inch pipe broke, I believe at BWI, and that rooms were affected. Felt terrible for anyone whose vacation was washed away.

Yes, we were there last week. It didn't affect us personally, but it temporarily closed the Screendoor shop and the Character (Connection?) next to it.

Nothing was bad about our room...in fact, I don't know why we were disappointed at first. I guess we had hoped to possibly be upgraded to a room with a view of the lake, but there are actually very few of those.

Here's a question for someone in the know...across from the elevator banks, there are beautiful hutches with glass windows and all kinds of knicknacks on shelves. I noticed on the bottom shelf of the hutch on the lobby level, there was a framed black and white picture of a CM. Anyone know who she is or why that picture is there?
