We got back last night from a family reunion trip to the BCV. There were 14 of us on this trip so we had a diverse group. We had one 2 bedroom (333 - dedicated with 2 queens) and 3 studios (325 - handicaped, 355, and 376). The two bedroom was not ready until after 4 pm but the studios were all ready by lunch time. There were some minor issues with one of the studios but a quick phone call resolved the problem.

I had been really worried about trash in the halls etc since this was the first trip for most of the group to Disney and I really wanted them to be wowed! I did not see trash in any hall during the entire week stay. In fact I thought the property was quite clean.

The parks were crowded so we spent alot of time at SAB. The kids really enjoyed the pool and the kids activities were quite entertaining. They were not checking resort ID's even though the pool was pretty full. I was not asked for an ID the entire week.

We had some wonderful group dinners including Cape May, Le Celliar and Boma. These restaurants all did a great job with the size of our group. We also took over the drawing room for pizza and cards one night. This is a great place to get everyone together at the end of the day and we should have taken advantage of it earlier in the week.

Overall a great trip - time to plan the next one!

Momsully - were all of the rooms in your name, or did you book them in the names of the people staying there? I ask because I have three units booked in December and used the names of my family members, and now I'm wondering if I should have used my name so I can check-in all three at once when I get there? How did it work for you? Thanks for the info!

They were in my name but the people staying in the rooms were also on the reservation. I was able to get eveything checked in when I got there. They just had to give the front desk a credit card to have the ability to room charge.

Sounds like you had a wonderful trip. Thank you for posting!:)

Thanks for the report! Glad you had a nice time. Isn't Stormalong Bay fantastic?

I just invited my niece and her family to go with us in December and I wondered if I should put their room in their name. After your reply, I think I'll add their name but keep mine on it too so I can check them in as we'll probably be taking an earlier flight. They can add their credit card later.

Thanks!

Donna

Hi,

Thanks for sharing!!

Thanks for the report! Glad to hear you had a good time. Was the handicap room per your request? Also, were these rooms near each other or spread throughout the resort?

We had requested nonhandicapped for all the rooms but the handicapped studio was all they had available. The biggest complaint the people staying in that room had was the lack of a vanity in the bathroom.

The rooms were all on the same floor and a short walk to each other which was nice.

Sounds like you were traveling with some kids. Is there any restrictions on size/age to use the slide at SAB?
Thanks,

My four year old was able to use the slide without a problem. He is able to swim though and the water was over his head.
