We were at WDW from 11/15 to 11/25 and truly had a magical trip. Five nights at BCV and 5 at Polnesian lagoon view concierge.

First part of the trip, the parks weren't busy at all, second half they were jammed becoming more so each day it seemed. Friendly and helpful CMs in the resorts, restaurants, and parks as well as some of the most civilized and friendly guests we've encountered in some time helped make it a wonderful trip.

Any questions?

BCV23....... Hi..... just wondering how you compare the 2 resorts.... we have stayed at Poly... we love it... our favorite... we are going to stay at BC in june.... what are some pros and cons of both....thanks...amy

Glad to hear everything was magical! I'm interested in hearing about your Poly stay! What floor was your room on? Was it LV or GV?

Amy, the Polynesian is our favorite, too. We were at the Beach Club Villas this time as we are members there but we've stayed at the Beach Club itself in the past. The decor at the BC is light and bright. The rooms are smaller than the Polynesian and some of the rooms have these itsy standing room only balconies. Storm Along Bay is quite a pool although my kids actually prefer the Polynesian's pools. World Showcase is a rather short walk away but Future World is more convenient from the Polynesian than from the BC IOHO. You already know how convenient the MK is from the Polynesian. No 24 hour snack shop like Captain Cooks and only at breakfast is there a good option for a quick pickup meal at the BC. We like room service at the Polynesian better, too.

Sounds like I'm only listing negatives to the BC but it is a beautiful resort and the favorite of many. You'll never know until you try! I'm sure you will have a great time.

Aspiring Cindy, we were on the first floor, lagoon view. We've also stayed in Hawaii with gardenview and I love that view, too.

BVC23...... thanks.... we are going to split our stay...between poly and BC... i can never go back now without staying at the poly.... i think we will go 4 at poly and 3 at BC.... i loved captain cooks at the poly.... and the kona coffee bar... i think i will miss this at BC.... kids do want to try SAB.... thanks again...amy

Thanks for the quick reply! We'll be staying at Poly Concierge in Aug., and don't know what floor to request. I am leaning toward 1st floor though!
Corvair, we have also stayed at BC and really enjoyed the location and easy access to Epcot, MGM and all the great restaurants. Oh yeah, WL thread misses you!:D

I don't know how I forgot but Wishes is spectacular from the Polynesian. We couldn't hear it from our patio (another guest told me she could still hear the Polynesian holiday songs playing from the speakers near Hawaii) but visually it was incredible. You can hear from the pool.

Amy, other than one Columbus Day weekend shortly after Y&BC opened, that is how we've done our few BC trips too. Five or so days at the Polynesian and then switch to the BC for a day or two. My boys both love Stormalong....just not quite as much as the Polynesian's pools. I think they are in the minority there though!:teeth:

Be sure to try Kona Cafe. It is great for all three meals.
