Arrived back late last night from an amazing trip in Paris & Disneyland Paris.

It seems to be traditional to share some highs and lows so here's mine:-

Highs:
Wow where to start, there were so many :)

* Weather - sunny sunny sunny
* The castle is looking beyond beautiful, Gleaming in the sun
* How much the parks have matured since our last visit 13 years ago, beautiful landscaping.
* Closeness of everything - makes taking a break so easy
* DS squealing at first glimpse of castle
* Thunder Mountain, Crushes Coaster, TOT, Toy Story Parachutes, Autopia, POTC. DS would also add orbitron, but gives me motion sickness.
* Getting to experince a new disney park (Studio's wasn't built on our last visit )
* Walts, so glad so many of you recommend this place.
* Just having so much fun as a family :woohoo:

Lows:
Really not many

* Woody's Roundup Village - My son spotted this on a map and was desperate to visit. It really was like a run down western village! Don't no if we just timed our visit bad. Are there usually characters?
* DS bursting into tears as we went through the train barriers to leave

Trip report to follow, as I actually remeber to make note:cool1:.

Again BIG BIG thank you to this board for all the tips, advice and experince you share. Without them our trip would not have been so special and there would have been lots we would have missed :disrocks:

Glad you had a wonderful time. It's horrible isn't it when you have to leave and the littleones burst into tears, my dd cried and would not talk to me until we were pretty much home on the Eurostar :rotfl2:.
I too think they could do a little more with woody's roundup every time we have been we have never got to see a character there, perhaps it's our bad timing :confused3 I don't think they list a time that woody or Jessie will be there (could be wrong, but I have not seen one)

Looking forward to you TR :surfweb:

So glad you had a good time. You must have seen loads of changes in 13 years!!

Woody's roundup used to an organised meet area with several characters including Woody and Jessie. Professional photographers would take pictures for you to purchase (or you just took your own) in the same way they do in the hotels. It was also advertised on the event schedule so that you would know when the characters were due.

Someone mentioned a while ago that the characters had stopped at Woody's roundup recently. They were still there in October when we were there last year.

On our recent trip ( a week ago :sad1:) we were queuing to see Tarzan and I spotted some characters so we went over. We met Mickey, Donald and Goofy. There was no photographer and it hadn't been advertised.

Sounds like it's a hit or a miss - but I thought it was a great idea. Our youngest DS would be happy not to chase the characters around the parks as he knew he'd get to meet them at Woody's Roundup. Hopefully they'll reinstate it.

Anyway, looking forward to your trip report :flower3:

I think the Woodys Roud up charactors have moved to the Cowboy Cookout for the charactor tea.
But Ive seen people bump into them outside Cowboy Cookout in TRs. Might be worth mooching around to see if you can meet them.
Maybe try the programme for details to see if Woodys round up is listed under charactor meets

Wow....13 years between visits. Must have been great to see all of the changes.

Glad you had such a fantastic time :)

I was reading your trip report this afternoon and noticed you saw characters there. My son wanted to meet Donald too!
