Thanks for the report. It is good to know the other HA room has a jetted tub and only one has a roll in shower. We are looking forward to our concierge trip in May and will be slightly dissapointed if we end up with the roll in shower as DS can't shower by himself.

It sounded to me as if this unit was accessible but with a tub in the master instead of a rollin shower.

Thank you for your lovely trip report. I cannot wait to book our next trip to the AKV. The savana view must be heavenly...now if they would only move some elephants close to my room!!!

While the decor is dark in the AKV rooms, I think the dingy atmosphere at night is because all the bulbs are CFLs. I know we all need to learn to live green, but those bulbs depress the hell out of me.

Actually, I think the light issues at AKV in the bathroom are more from the amber shades they have over the bulbs than the bulbs themselves. It takes away too much of the light spectrum.

I read some years ago that the lights are dimmer for the animals. Don't know if that's true.

That's the way I took it. One unit is HA with a tub and the other HA unit has a roll in shower.

That is correct. There are no HA studios in Concierge. Both of the HA rooms are 1BRs with a savanna view.

Thanks, that's great to know! We'll be staying studio concierge in two weeks and I was worried about getting an HA room.

We did not get a USA Today outside our door. I believe that it is available (multiple copies) in the Kilimanjaro Club, but we generally don't read USA Today. The NY Times (multiple copies) is available in the Kilimanjaro Club, which was very nice.
