Back from AKL Stay....

We all loved the hotel. We stayed in a concierge room and enjoyed the services very much. Some of the staff was wonderful, some less so...to the point of me wondering why in the world they were in the concierge lounge. The food was all good and it was nice by passing the front desk when we arrived since the line seemed to stretch from Maine to Florida!

We had a wonderful view of the savannah. We took advantage of the night vision goggle viewing which was fun. The animal guide doing programs in the lobby in the evening was very good and informative. My children enjoyed that.

We had a rental car, but I have to say we all liked the bus service a lot. We quit using the car and just took the bus service after a few days. I can't imagine why people worry or complain about the distance from the parks. Every place is close to some things, and far from some things, but nothing is more than a short bus ride from any where.

I never heard a sound from the rooms on either side of me, or from the hall. It was very quiet, even though all the rooms seemed to be occupied. The beds and pillows were comfortable and the room was clean and well stocked with soaps and towels.

We would definately stay there again and I will always do the concierge from now on. We found a lot of value in the services and offerings.

We didn't stay concierge, maybe next time. Was it to cold to swim?

The kids swam, and my husband one day. It was too cold for me, but I was able to make a nice blanket out of the abundant towels so I can officially say I enjoyed the pool as well! The water was warm, it was the whole air thing they need to work on heating!!!
