The family (me, the wife, daughters 4 and 8) just got back to the shores of Lake Erie from a fantastic 10 days at Disney.
Quick hitters >> Stayed at the Wilderness Lodge and had a nice stay. The room was nice, courtyard view, bunk beds for the kids, it was good, not great.
This is our 2nd time there, and it truly is a beautiful resort. Transportation was good, we used the bus to the Magic Kingdom, and preferred it to the boat. We drove everywhere else.
>> Arrived at the parks prior to opening, used TGM, and really had little or no
waits until noonish despite moderate to heavy crowds.
>> Twice at AK Everest was not working in the morning, causing the line to
be ridiculously long and fastpasses to run out by 1-2 pm. Despite that, we
were able to ride it twice, and it is a FANTASTIC attraction, Disney at it's best
>> Really were not affected by TS Alberto, at least in a negative way. Tuesday (13th), the 8 yr old had been bugging me to take her to Blizzard
Beach, so we went. Weather was dreary (70's, over cast, drizzle) we pulled
in the parking lot at 8:45, only 2 other cars in the lot (I thought maybe they
were closed), it was the BEST day we've every had at BB, there couldn't
have been more than 30 people in the entire park until about 10:30-11:00.
>> One last thing, something cool for a Disney freak like me, we got stuck
on Space Mt. when they had a computer shutdown, very top of the ride, right
after the first little dip and turn. Got video of the ride with the lights on as
they walked us down off of the ride.........very cool.
I'd be happy to answer any questions.
