We had a wonderful time and spent way too much money! Did the Blue Lagoon excursion, didn't get off at all in Freeport, snorkled in Castaway Cay, saw Hercules and Dreams, went to disco night, got a spa taster treatment, and the kids used the clubs extensively (one in 5-7, one in 8-9 and one in 10-12) and hated to leave them. Had room 8528, servers were Alun from Scotland and Gavin from South Africa.
Will be posting trip reports later, I am just worn out now and still waiting for DD#1's suitcase to arrive  . Already deciding how to budget better next year when my dad takes us on the 7 day western!

Welcome home! So glad to see you already have another planned!

We spent way too much money on our first two trips and figured out ways here and there to cut back on the expenses. We bought SO many souvenirs the first couple cruises, had category 5s (there are only 2 of us), numerous spa treatments, lots of specialty drinks, etc. This time we're cutting back just a teeny tiny bit! You'll find ways to save!

How did you like Blue Lagoon? Did you feel it was worthwhile?:D

Sounds like you had a great time! We are also going to be in room 8528 on our 1st cruise in Oct. How did you like it? Convenient? Any noise?(a popular question about rooms). Also wondering how the Blue Lagoon day was. We're getting towards the 60 day mark and still trying to decide if we want to do any excursions or not.

1) Blue Lagoon was a pretty good day. We were on the first cruise in 2 months with no rain, according to the CMs, so the weather was good. You walk 10-15 minutes into Nassau and then get on a ferryboat that is packed--DH and DD#2 rode on the top deck, the rest of us in the middle. People are also going to Blue Lagoon/Stingray and BlueLagoon/Dolphin encounter on this ferry.
The lagoon is smaller than I expected and pretty shallow, which is good for kids. I had no trouble getting two hammocks and a table. DH, DD#2 and DS fell asleep in a hammock for almost an hour before we left. They have photographers there that can almost be called intrusive--I'm a good size 14 and the last thing I want is my picture on a float. Floats are $10, by the way.
Lunch was good and I got the punch with alcohol. Do NOT leave your food on a table to get your drink unless someone is with the food--I saw seagulls just going to town on one kids meal and flying off with a hot dog.
We left at 2 to make early dinner seating and it seemed like almost everyone else did too.
Question 2) room 8528 was pretty cool! It was only a deck under the pools, spa, beach blanket--we took the stairs a lot to work off the food. It is close to midship and next door to the Roy Disney suite--it was occupied, but not by anyone famous to my chagrin. It is only 3 decks over the kids' clubs. The only noise I heard was on the last night when they seemed to be moving stuff around above me--cleaning I imagine. It is under the adult pool so I didn't hear any other evening noise.
