Thanks for all of the helpful info from these boards!

We had a beautiful week...perfect weather and calm seas!

Flew in Friday and stayed at the HYATT (very nice and very convenient)

TIFFANY TOWNCAR was prompt, cars were clean and the driver was very nice.

On ship by noon no problem with ressies.
Off ship by 8:45, Tiffany Towncar was waiting for us.

Brunch at Palo, best meal on the trip. I had the most wonderful fish and risoto dish!

Excusions were Captain Marvins and Jungle Jeep Tour (non DCL).
Both were great!

Disney crew provides the best service especially our dining room servers Fitz (Jamaica) and Marcel (Romania).

Loved the new coffee bar at Quiet Cove.

Thanks again for all of the great tips and suggestions!!!

Glad you had a wonderful cruise. Thanks for the post. - Mike

Thanks for the report. Sounds like it was a great trip!! Do you happen to remember the name of your Tiffany driver?

Glad your home safe, sound and a little sad!

I'm not sure that the driver mentioned his name, if he did I've forgotten it!

He was great...courteous, friendly...also it was nice to have the same driver to and from the ship.

We had fitz for our server on our 2002 eastern caribean in december. He got along well with our kids and was allways pleasent and polite.

It was a pleasure to see Fitz at dinner every night. He is a great server and lots of fun.

Our asst server Marcel was very familiar with the wines. We had purchased the wine package and he was very helpful when selecting our wine for the evening.

They were both very enthusiastic and kept us laughing...especially on the theme nights.

We couldn't have asked for a better team!

Could you tell me about Captain Marvins????
How was it, what did you do, how long...etc.....

Thanks so much!

It was a 10 min walk from the pier and 15 min van shuttle to the boat. I think about 30-35 people were on the excursion which was nice compared to some of the larger boats we saw in the area.

The crew was very nice and there was a videographer who offered a video $54 or a dvd $66 of the trip. There are 2 snorlel stops and then stop at the stingray sandbar. Saw lots of fish, rays and one of the crew lured an eel out of its hiding place in the coral. Fed the stingrays, a bit creepy at first but they are quite gentle.

We had beautiful day, but snorkeling and sunburn go hand in hand. Use lots of sunscreen and apply OFTEN! My 14yr son learned that lesson the hard way and got a nice burn on his back.

On the way back to town the shuttle dropped some people at a hotel so they could use the beach. They later returned to the pier by taxi.

I found the 1/2 day was just the right amount of time of sun and sea and was ready to return to the ship.

It was great!

Thanks for the info Sue!
Did everyone snorkel and swim with the stingrays or did some stay on board the boat?
Did they have water/drinks?
Do you know what hotel they got dropped off at?
How far in advance did you book with Captian Marvins?

Sorry for all the questions!!!

Thanks for the post Sue. Sounds like a great cruise! Also glad to hear a good report about Tiffany. We plan on using them for the fist time Friday:D

Idb1030:

A few stayed on the boat OR got in the water and back on the boat quickly. It depends on your own comfort level where you spend your time.

They offered water or fruit punch from 2 large cooler jugs, you just helped yourself.

I think they were dropped at the Marriot-the driver said it used to be the Holiday Inn.

I booked on 3/1 for our 4/24 cruise. $39 per person including snorkel gear.

KaitlinsMom:

We booked the jeep tour through Travelnotes.

I had heard about them on this and another cruise board.

They offer other adventure tours too. The groups are small, in fact we had our guide Ginger to ourselves!. We were a tour of 1 jeep, which is nice especially if you want to stay longer in a particular area or skip another stop altogether. It was fun but it is VERY BUMPY. It was hot and sandy and I was exhausted at the end of the day but I'd do it again! They provide a nice chicken lunch on the beach where you can snorkel and swim. Ginger was a great guide!

I hope that helps.
I don't mind the questions. It's pay back for all the helpful info I've found here!
