Back entrance at Epcot?

This will be our first time staying at an Epcot resort, and on our first day there we'll be doing Epcot. Does the back entrance open at the same time as the front entrance? Will we be at a disadvantage (or advantage?) by not going in the front? (I'm thinking for Fast Passes.)

Yes!

If you go in the International Gateway, you will be guided to Futurworld via Britain and Canada.

It's much less crowded and nice to see those to pavilions so quiet and empty.

No, they are not open and you can't go into the shops, but, there MAY be one or two carts opening up when you go through.

open at the same time. Last year we stayed at Y&BC, and used it all of the time.

I'm sure someone out there has done some kind of feet/yard/mile analysis (Robo, maybe?), but you need to hustle, regardles of the entrance, if you want to hit the key attractions (Soarin, Test Track, and Mission Space if you are up to it). We always do Soarin 1st, becuase you can usually do it twice in a row before the crowds build up. Then we head over to Test Track, and either ride it, or get a FP, and ride it later. We can then do the rest of the attractions at a more leisurely pace.

This assumes you get there at park opening.

I love going in the back enterance. It's so quiet and peaceful. And you can get some great photo ops if you bring your camera!

We stayed at Yacht Club last year & used the back enterance. I think it its a huge advantage! No crowds getting in ever!

We stay at the BW or BC quite often, and love entering Epcot early in the morning for the walk to FW. It makes us feel like the park is ours, if only for a short time before the rest of the mob shows up
