Okay, worked pretty hard until our cruise in September....lost 40lbs. Well, gained some back (too scared to get onto the scale:confused3 ). Need motivation....right now with the holidays coming, I really need it! So, I am back here to WISH....the best place to get motivated!:goodvibes So, how is everyone doing? Any new tips out there??? Hugs to all my WISH friends out there and thanks for being here!:grouphug:

Glad you are back with us!

We can always use you here you know!

If you can walk away from all the desserts for the holidays or maybe just a taste I find that I love the healthy foods we serve. Thanksgiving is easiest--Turkey, yum. We make our yams plain and just slice them now. Salad, mashed potatos just a taste and a taste of stuffing. One plate and no seconds.

Christmas is a bit more challenging since it is all month with events and such.

Never give up. I am glad you are still working with it. Keep on keepin' on.

Big hugs to you! It is always nice to see a familiar WISHer! It is something I will never give up on....slack maybe, but not give up:lmao:
Sweets are my downfall, and the holidays are full of them...right now I am trying to do my best in between festivities and be prepared to focus hard once Jan 1 comes around!

Welcome back Kam! I am a recent returnee to WISH too. I lost 109.5 pounds doing low carb between 2003 and 2004 and spent 2005 and 2006 gaining back half the weight. Yuck!

This is my second week with Weight Watchers and I so love it. I'm down 10.6 pounds and can't believe I am losing weight without giving up the foods I love. DH and I are hosting a dinner party this Sunday night with turkey, ham and all the trimmings. I'm making a weight watchers stuffing dish, plan to have either weight watchers or lean cuisine mac and cheese for myself so I don't feel deprived and I'm going to either enjoy one dessert or make the weight watchers brownie cup cakes.

My point is that whatever plan you are following, you can make it work despite the foods and other goodies that will be around. One of my favorite mantras being an emotional eater and a big sweets eater is that if food is not the problem, eating is not the solution.

I wish you well on your weight loss journey! We are here for you to cheer you on!!!
