I have a couple of questions about babysitting. My ds will be one and dd will be 5 when we go. Are the babysitters in-house or from an agency? About how mich does it cost? Do you have to book very far in advance? My dh said we will get one regardless because we deserve some alone time!
I was also wondering if the Cirque du Soleil would be a good option. If you have any other ideas I would be grateful. :flower:
Thanks

We are doing the same thing for one night when we are there. I researched it and came up with Fairy God Mothers, I am requesting Vera, they are an in-room child care service, and on these boards and other boards I have read outstanding reviews, especially for this lady named Vera. I called them and they said it is 12 dollar transportation fee and 14 dollars an hour for 1-2 children. Not to bad in my oppinion. They will stay in the room with games/toys they bring or upon your permission take them out at the resort for dinner, to the arcade, nature walk, etc. anything except for swimming. We figured it would cost us about 100 bucks for the night out, VERY worth it and we can't wait. They said to call them when we get there with the room assignment to confirm.

Since your kids are 5 years old, might I suggest one of the kids clubs? I think they are $10 per child per hour. My 5 year old loves the Neverland Club at the Polynesian and the Dolphin Club at the Dolphin. The Dolphin Club has the added benefit of being FREE for 2 hours if you dine at one of the Dolphin or Swan premium restaurants. I know that Shulas and Blue Zoo are on the list, but I'm not sure what other restaurants are included. Also, if you get your child to the Dolphin Club by 7:00ish, then they will be fed too! It's a great deal and both Shulas and Blue Zoo are very good :). I also like the Dolphin Club because my DH and I can have a couple of hours alone at dinner and then pick up my DD in time for IllumiNations which we can see from the Swan/Dolphin/BWV bridge.

Fairy Godmothers is great for kids who are not old enough for the clubs, but I think once they turn 4 (and are potty trained) they really enjoy being with other kids more than being alone.

Thanks for the replies. I have to do in room babysitting because ds will only be one and a half when we go.

Ah ... sorry, I missed that. Fairy Godmothers is a very good choice then :).

i thought about the clubs - I have 5 year ol twins and a 4 year old, but I was thinking it's late and they might be out of sorts? how do all your kids usually do lateish night at the clubs?

If you have an early morning after a late night your kids are bound to be out of sorts :earseek:. The kids clubs will have a quiet place for the kids to rest when it gets late, but the CMs don't make them lie down. They can play or watch movies or whatever they want to do. I really wouldn't want to leave my child in the clubs too late, even though I think they're open until midnight. We had dinner at Narcoosee's last year and returned to the Neverland Club after watching Wishes from the lagoon at around 10:30. My DD was the second to last child there and I felt sorry for the little boy who was there alone until his parents came back. Of course, with 3 kids yours will keep each other company :).

we are going to try to take it easy most days and get late starts... but I still have to think about it.... watching my three is a lot to ask of anyone LOL
