Babysitter logistics

First time staying on Disney property at Copper Creek in September. If Haunted Houses (at another park) aren’t cancelled, we plan to go to that and use a babysitter. How will our babysitter get on property? Can I just tell the front desk that we are expecting a babysitter on one night so they can let her in? I don’t have to add her to my whole reservation do I?

I would think that you would have to have the babysitter in your car, go through the gate and accompany the babysitter. Hardly doubt that for security purposes, the front desk can let anyone in through the gates unacompanied by the original guest, because they are a babysitter or otherwise.
As a matter of personal opinion, hopefully, you are using someone like a relative or good friend that you know very well and not some babysitting service from the area that you know nothing about. Is the babysitter under the age of 16? Not even sure if anyone under the age of 16 should be in a room legally alone, no less caring for children. Guess I'm from the "old school" but can never be too careful today!

Thank you. Yes, We have used the same babysitter since 2015 and she’s an adult with grandchildren my daughter’s age. It’s our first time using her while staying at a Disney property now that we are DVC members. Previously we stayed at Hilton timeshares and they had no problem letting her in the gate when I gave them her name but that was pre-Covid.

Normally, she just needs to tell them she is coming to see you. However, with the new policy regarding day guests, it might be different,

Once you get there, I’d just talk to the front desk and let them know.
