Baby's first haircut??

I read a tip on here once about getting you baby's first haircut somewhere and they make it extra special and you can purchase a keepsake box for a lock of hair. Does anyone know what I'm talking about and where this is?
I really want to get my son's first haircut done at wdw in september.

The Main Street Barber Shop in the Magic Kingdom does this. They did lots of great things for our kids...bubbles, stickers, and pixie dust. The barber wrapped up the kids' hair for us, and they each got a certificate and Mickey ears with "first haircut" embroidered on them. I don't recall seeing a keepsake box, though.

You can't make an appointment. We went on a Monday last October at around 1:30pm. There were several people in front of us, and we ended up waiting close to an hour. Wasn't a big deal since DS1 was sleeping, and DD actually ended up watching the parade while the barber shaped her hair. We were the last customers of the day. I've read that if you go first thing that the wait times aren't nearly as bad.

Have a fun time...it was one of the highlights of our trip!

They do a great job and my son loved all the attention he was getting that he had no problem sitting nice for his haircut. Here is a picture of him afterwards with this new mickey ears.

Be careful about this though. I loved it and it was a fantastic thing to do. However, now we have to do it every trip--our older DS gets his hair colored and Mickey confetti and a colored Mickey on the back of his head. Gets him a ton of attention too, which sometimes is a bit overwhelming. Treasured tradition though.

At park opening it is the least crowded, but it could be hit and miss the whole day. Also, doesn't cost any more than getting their haircuts here at the local kid place ($12 or $14).

I agree-be careful, it is addictive!!

I have two shaggy head boys walking around my house. They are holding out to get back to school haircuts in WDW. We have a couple of weeks before our trip. I may not see their faces by then!
