has anyone done it? I am talking about the barber shop on main street in the magic kingdom. Will you guys tell me a little about your experiences. We have a little boy who is a little over 10 months.

We did it with out 13month old ds. We had Michael and he was good. He plastered ds with stickers as a distraction and gave my mom bubbles to blow as well. My ds was a champ and sat through it to get his "first haircut" ears. He did not get any glitter paint put in his hair.

We did have to wait for about 30 minutes to get in. There are no appointments - it's first come, first serve.

What I would suggest to you is that you bring something to distract your son while he is getting his haircut in the off chance that there are no bubbles or stickers. Don't expect anything except for a decent hair cut and the enjoyment of the memory that your sons first haircut was in the Magic Kingdom. If you go in expecting more, you may be disappointed if something "neat" that happened to someone else didn't happen for your son.

We did it and had a great time. Michael was so good with DS and kept him calm the entire time. He would whisper things into his ear and DS was enthralled with everything. It went pretty quickly and we didn't have to wait too long. That also gave DS a chance to see what was happening so he wasn't totally surprised.

Here's a picture of my DS getting his, I don't know, 7th haircut at the Main Street Barber Shop. His first one was two days after his 1st birthday. I have to try to find those pictures.

An absolutely unbelievable experience. The time and effort working with a 15 month old (my niece) was just amazing. She was totally transfixed on the experience, conversation and stickers and had a great haircut and barely any wiggles! We did not know about the certificate or mouse ears--it was just added magic for all of us. :thumbsup2

We took DS there for his first haircut and it was a great experience. Like the OP said they plastered him with stickers which kept him busy while the woman cut his hair. We only had one person in front of us. He still has the first haircut ears in his room. He's now 5.

My DS got his first haircut in Disney as well!! Its now a tradition for him. Every January when we make our annual winter trip to Disney, he gets his hair cut on Main Street. This past trip he even got it painted red with pixie dust! He is 4 1/2 now. He still has his first haircut ears, the certificate they gave him and they saved his hair for me too! His ears are on a stuffed Pooh Bear in his room. I would definately go for it!! :thumbsup2

DS had his first haircut there in Feb. They were very attentive giving him stickers and giving me bubbles to blow as he was not too happy about it. Here's his before and after pics.

He recieved a certificate also. I would highly recommend it.
