Babycakes cupcake maker

Got one for Christmas tried it tonight and the cupcakes all stuck inside the wells. Didn't say anything about spraying them with Pam first??? What a pain to clean too. Anyone else get one??

I have one but haven't had any issues with the cake sticking. We have done muffin and cake mixes as well as corn bread. I have had to stick a toothpick along the edges to pop them out of the molds. Go ahead and spray them. It can only help.

DD got one, but hasn't tried it yet. I would definately use a nonstick spray or liners.

I have the Bella Cuina model and I love it... The directions did say to preheat, to always spray with pam and to throw away the first batch since the unit does smell when first used. I wipe it with a damp cloth between each batch respray so clean up is a breeze.

Did you preheat it???? Did you spray it???

That is a shame. I find that with "most" nonstick stuff, you do have to spray it with Pam or it becomes regretful when you need to take things out.

The only stuff I never spray is my stoneware--but it is seasoned quite well. Unless a recipe has a fair amount of butter or oil in it to prevent sticking on its own--best to grease/oil up the pan even if it doesn't tell you to do so.

ETA: No--I don't own it, but just sharing my baking experience--we have a panini press and waffle irons--same deal. Though the press isn't so bad since you are beginning with bread that has already been made.

I got one for my dd for xmas and she loves it! She broke it out Christmas afternoon and whipped up some cupcakes. She didn't have a problem with sticking...just preheated it and used a spoon to pop out the cakes.
