I had a boyfriend once that weighed 13 pounds at birth. I don't know if it's hereditary or not, but I always said I'd never marry him, because I wasn't going to chance our babies turning out that big!

WOW, that's incredible, especially for it to happen here in Mexico. Most Mexican babies are pretty small. My daughter was born here, and she was just over six pounds, and people kept commenting on how big she was. In fact, she was one of the biggest babies in the nursery. When we tell people that my son was over nine pounds when he was born, they look at us like we have two heads.
So for this gigantic baby to be born here really is something incredible.

My 3.5yo son was 12 lbs 7 oz. when he was born.

I think there was a gal in the news who delivered a 14 or 15 lb baby without a c section last year or so. Ouch . lol

Oh my...I just had an 11lber last week..and it was a scheduled csection (repeat, had one w/my first). My doctor said he was over 10 when she delivered him, but whenever they came back and said 11 lbs...the OR erupted. My DH took a picture of the scale to prove it.

My nephew, BOOM, was 13 pounds with a 13 inch circumference of a head when he was born, which btw was the 13th of September!! My sister was split from bow to stern!!!

He's 32 now and still a BIG guy!
