Anyone know if we can buy Baby Water at the Polynesian? I need it to mix my daughter's formula. Any tips?

Thanks!

:-)

I went the baby water route with DD#2 since I decided to not bf her and my pedi said don't waste your money on it. She told me to use bottled water and the baby will be fine. So that is a choice if you can't find any. Good Luck!!!

My youngest are only 6, but I've never heard of baby water. We used good old tap water for our babies, along with unsterilized bottles (as per the advice of our pediatrician).

I just use tap water to mix formula. For our Disney trip i"m using bottled b/c Florida water tastes different & I'm worried she won't like the different taste. Why use Baby Water to make formula?

Here we use Beechnut Nursey Water to mix formula. We buy it by the gallon and leave it on the counter to always serve at room temperature. It is purified and has flouride. Since it is the same or cheaper than regular bottled water, and available at the grocery store, it makes sense.

I'll take your advice and switch to regular old bottled water for the week, but can't bring myself to use the tap! I have done it in a pinch, but since its out of state for us, I don't want to mess with baby's delicate stomach!

Thanks so much!

We boiled DD's water until she was probably 10 months old (it just became a habit after the first couple of months). We took her to WDW when she was 8 months old and used bottled water while there. We only ever gave her room temp bottles. Depending on the time of year you're going, you may want to put the bottles of water in a small soft-sided cooler with an ice pack to keep the water from getting too warm though. We did this and DD seemed to enjoy the cooler than normal water since the temps were in the 80's when we were there.

I'm sure Marge at Wego.com grocery delivery could get it for you.
Why not just order all of your extra baby stuff?
Diapers, Formula, Nursery water, Water for you, juice, soda, snacks...
Different water could definitely give the formula a different taste than your baby is used to.
Just a suggestion ;)

If using bottled water, please make sure it has flouride in it. Also, if using well water, make sure your child is getting flouride supplements. A good friend of mine has had to spend thousands of dollars on her children's teeth because they didn't use flouride supplements.

I was going to post just the opposite. My daughter's teeth are permanently discolored due to too much fluoride. Our well water is naturally high in fluoride which I didn't know. I'm worried my son's teeth will be too when they come in. Don't use fluoride supplements w/o having your water tested. I'm not even too keen on the Nursery Water with added fluoride.

Definitely go the bottled water route. I would never use FL tap water for formula. The water makes me sick, I can only imagine what it would do you a baby.....

Pedi said they didn't need the flouride so young. My girls take the floride drops now but the pedi wouldn't give them when they were very young. Floride has the opposite effect when given too much

I don't want to turn this into a fluoride debate, but yes have your well checked, ours has flouride in it. There is also alot of debate about fluoride in water and some communities are thinking about stopping it.

To OP, a PP mentioned wego, but you could also checked garden grocer. If she is use to the nursery water maybe do a trial run with regular bottled water, don't want to get there and have her not eat!! also costco.com delivers water to the hotels and it's very resonable!

I have never seen baby water in any of the resorts. I have brought it myself or bought it at a grocery store on the way to the resort.

Any bottled water will probably be fine for your stay unless your little one is really picky. Sometimes you don't know if your baby is picky or not and just don't want to take the chance on vacation.

I had to use bottled water for all the kids because our well water has to much Nitrogen for infants.

Many thanks for all of the opinions. Its interesting to hear the flouride/no flouride debate. We don't have well water where I live, so I am hoping my pediatrician is taking that all into account when he gives us the feeding protocol. Our conversation here has prompted me to check!!

I have 4 daughters, 9, 7, 4 and the baby, and so far, so good with the Baby Water! The older kids all had it for the first year and their teeth are very healthy. (If that helps anyone out there make a decision...)

Thanks again for your two cents!
