baby trend sit n stand stroller?

I have the Baby Trend sit n stand from Target. Do you know anyone with one that would let you test it out for like a 45 minute walk? That might help you with the decision.

I will have to ask her which one she tried. I bought the Fisher Price one from big lots and love it. She is trying to get one too, but her brother is getting married this weekend and she is out of town. She isn't sure if she will be able to get one while gone or not. If not, then she is still on the hunt so to speak. I will let her know what you said though. Thanks for taking the time to answer.

I have the sit and stand from Target. DD #1 weighs 44lbs and is 44 inches tall and 5yrs. DD #2 is 18lbs and currently 9 months. I have no problems pushing it but it i not light weight and the seat does not recline very well.

left the sun shade on had no problem with used the buses easy to collasp also used it when we took cab services they gave us a van just put in the back of the van there were 7 of us on the trip when the bus got near one of us grabbed the baby another collasped the baby trend off we went

We like our sit and stand. It is a baby Trend from Target. We bought it for our trip to Disney. It is 100% better than the Duo Glider that we did have. It is really easy to push and collapse. I like the option of 2 seats that Joovy doesn't offer. We decided not to bring it to Disney for 2 reasons. It doesn't fold as flat as I would like for the buses. Also, we worried about DS 4 needing a nap. We already removed the back seat that it comes with to reveal and use the jump seat. DS 2 can't use the jump seat yet. We got lucky and our neighbor had a Combi side by side that she wasn't using. I LOVE this stroller! It is lightweight and folds up smaller than the sit and stand. It is easy to carry and offers a lot of nice storage. Just a thought!

We have the BT SnS from Target and it will be making its 2nd WDW visit.

THe cons are: LIke others said, it is a bit heavy and bulky for the busses, As a smaller adult I find it difficult to get up onto curbs, etc if my 3YO and 6 YO are in it. and I do not like that it does not "Stand up" on its own when folded.

the pros: I have successfully gotten all 3 of my kids in it when needed (I have an almost 8 YO as well LOL!) it is pretty easy to steer, with a touch of practice, you can get it folded up easily and with one hand (Provided the wheels are facing the right direction AND the sunshade is laying flat against the frame).

We've looked into a few different options, but will be returning with ours for a 9 day trip!

We have the Joovy Caboose (not the ultralight version). It pushes great, but my kids are less than 65 pounds total. We used it with a 4 mo old and a 3 year old last year at WDW...but I added a padded head rest for the 4 mo old. It worked fine. It will be better this year, when the youngest will be 18 mos old.

Pros:
smaller than a true double stroller
folds relatively compact for something that carries 2 kids
pushed easily & bar tall enough for hubby
3 year old loved to stand on the back--is not into sitting in strollers anymore

Cons:
Is not light, but was managable for us on the busses (but we had 2 adults to manuver the 2 kids).
Seat is rather hard and the recline isn't great--when reclined the older kid can't sit on the jump seat

Overall we like it and will be taking it again this year for the 18 mo & 5 year old.

Can I just say that I can't wait for the day we can do Disney without a stroller? Heck, I am looking forward to doing Disney with just one umbrella stroller again! (maybe next year?)

Well I've thought about the Joovy vs. the Sit and Stand for months. I was dreading spending the money on either one because we won't use the stroller outside of disney since my oldest is 7 (but 42 pounds) and doesn't use the stroller. After reading this thread, I went this morning to a Big Lots in the Atlanta area...I got the Fisher Price Stand and Ride Duo for $99.00. I'll post my opinion about it after the weekend when we get it assembled and try it out.

For the cost, I'm not concerned with how great it is, just that it gets us through our Disney trip. My girls are petite but even if I have to push that thing with all my might, for $99.00 and one week, that's fine with me! If my kids were younger, I guess I'd put more thought into whether or not this is the best Sit N Stand. But for a week in Disney  :woohoo: :cool1:!

Sorry to ramble, I really just wanted to say to those who are interested in the Fisher Price stroller - check several Big Lots - you may get lucky!

We have one and used it last year. Not the easiest thing to steer in the parks we also got for my 6 year old and 1 year old. Reclining stinks I wish I would have seen the fisher price one that looks nice. We have bought 2 strollers for 2 different trips and I haven't found one I like yet. I may just bring 2 umbrellas this year.

Okay sorry I know this is a dumb question, but when you say to make sure "the sunshade is laying flat against the frame" -can you explain this to me. For example are you talking about when your kids are in the stroller you take them out and ?THEN? move the sunshade to the back (towards the handles, or front towards the first seat?) or do you mean to collaspe it and then move the sunshade? Sorry I know that was confusing and a stupid question, but the collasping of the sit n stand is one of the issues I think I'll have, and when I was trying to do it in the store, it seemed like the sunshade didn't really fit (it just stuck out, and looked like it'd be easy to break.) -So if there's a better way, I'd love to know it, thanks so much for all the info.!

The kids get out of the stroller (Unclip the back strap), move the front seat "upright" then the sun shade flat towards the back (Handles). Make sure the wheels are facing so that the "short" side is towards the handles, too (Rolling it backwards will do this). The basket needs to be nearly empty as well.

then it should fold flat the first time you click and turn the thingy to fold it and the red "lock" should easily go into place.

HTH!

I'm in the same boat. My 6 year old never uses a stroller, but I'm sure he will in a month at Disney. I just think it would be really good for trying to leave at park closing, -he'll be exhausted, and with the crowds it'd be nice just to have him in the stroller, and not have a chance to get lost. I was trying to get the Fisher Price stroller at Big Lots, but neither of the stores here ever got any in stock:sad2: So, I went with the baby sit n stand from Target for about 20 bucks more, hopefully it'll be fine.

We have the Baby Trend Sit and Stand too, and I love it. I have no problems pushing it. It can get a bit heavy, but any strolloer can get heavy with enough weight in it. We are taking our with us when we go to WDW in a couple weeks!
