baby swapping

Going to Disney in June. I have an 8 yr old , 2 yr old and 3 month old. We heard that one parent can go on a ride with a child while the other parent waits at the exit. Then the other parent is able to go on the ride with the child with no wait. Does this really work? Has anyone tried this? Let us know! Thanks

I have a question about this as well. I understand how the whole baby swapping thing works, but I'm wondering if, for us, the single rider line may be quicker. We're taking our 4 year old and it will just be me and DH, so only one of us could ride at a time. I don't really care about riding a bunch of stuff alone and DS will probably do most things anyway, but I would love to ride Space Mountain. How is the single rider line? Is there one? Would it be better to use a FastPass and then do the baby swap?

Yes, we did this several times during our March trip! You just tell the first CM that you pass when waiting for the ride. He/She will give you a "baby swap" pass that will allow one of you to wait and ride with your older child (or just by yourself), and then the other adult Plus a rider (your older child can ride twice this way) go on with little or no wait. We used it on BTMR and SM, and on both of those, the adult who waits behind just went into the FP line so you wouldn't have to wait in the Stand by line.

It's a neat system!!

we've used the parent swap on 4 trips now. It works great. The 2nd parent uses the FP lane when they enter and the best part is the 2nd parent can take up to 2 people with them. The kids got to do the rides twice without the wait!!

Child swap works great with and without the fast pass. Just be sure and ask the cm before you enter the line or get the fp how its handled. It can be different from attraction to attraction and even day to day so check even if you rode with child swap yesterday.

Sometimes the single rider line can save time but only Test Track and Mission Space offer the singles. During our Feb trip the singles line was actually longer than the standby line but hopefully this isn't the norm.
