Baby swap with Express Pass -- do both parents need an EP?

Would it be possible to get just one Express Pass for a ride, have dh use it, then baby swap with him, and let me ride it, without my own EP? Or do I need one, too? I'm wondering if each of us can get one for a different ride, and do two thrill rides one right after the other.

They collect the express passes as you enter the Express line, so you will both have to have one.
