If the FP is for 1PM-2PM, does that mean that the whole group has to go through by 2PM? Or could the first group go at 1:55PM, say, and the second group who stayed behind with the baby could still go through after swapping the baby, even though by then it was 2:05PM and technically after the FP window?

The whole group does not have to ride within your fp+ window. It's actually good for quite a while- I believe until the end of the month. Not sure on that, but it's certainly valid at least for several days.

Very helpful, thanks!

What? This sounds like you're saying that FP+s are good for days (until the end of the month) but I thought they expired when they expired. Baby Swap pass may be different from FP+, but I really think FP+s expire. If FP+s could be used until the end of the month then nobody would worry about late night FP+s because they'd just use them the next morning - right? What am I misunderstanding?

Baby swap and FP+ are different. You do not have to have a FP+ to use Baby swap. The first group could wait in line, then the second group with the baby swap pass would go through the fp line. The second group using the baby swap pass does not use a fp. FP+ return times are enforced while baby swap pass allows you to return at any later time.

I think people are confusing types of FastPass+ here, if you are talking about the standard FastPass+ it is only good from 5 minutes before your window to about 15 minutes past your window. Any member of your party that have the FastPass+ can ride at any time during that window. You don't have to go together.

If the ride goes through a temporary shutdown during your window one of two things can happen, you will get an email saying you can now use your FastPass at a different ride and forfit your pass at the original ride or you can wait for the ride to reopen it and use it anytime at that ride.

If you get a ride-swap FastPass (rider 1 waits in normal line, rider 2 keeps baby) the FastPass is usually good for the rest of the day. Always check with the line greeter on the details of ride-swap because some rides use FastPass some rides use other methods.

This. :)

Sorry I wasn't clear I suppose.

The first riders all have to have a fp+. They must return within the time printed on the fp. The second set of riders ( up to 3) have until the rider switch pass expires in which to ride- ours expired the last day of the month they were issued.
